The link simply doesn't work for the vast majority of us.

You have to click it from within an iMessage.
Just copy pasting it into Safari did not work.

That being said you won't pass the "Apple Card Unavailable" error message after hitting continue. :(

Yeah, I've clicked on link from iMessage 20+ times and never get past the error message.

Wow, you're in Madison, WI? Me too.

Just signed up for Apple Card through the Wallet app! I had originally signed up to be notified on March 25 right after the event. I've tried that link to no avail yesterday and today. I signed up to be notified again through the Apple Card site again today, maybe an hour and a half ago if not less. Since signing up again, I've tried the link multiple times and it still didn't work. I also went through the Wallet app and clicked the + button multiple times throughout the day and it would only show the option to take a picture of a card. Tried again through the Wallet app maybe 20 minutes ago and saw that the option to add Apple Card was there. Not sure if signing up to be notified again was what pushed me through.

where are you located?

Been trying the link: https://wallet.apple.com/apple-card/setup/feature/ccs? for the past 20 mins and every time I hit continue on the splash screen I see "Apple Card Unavailable" -- followed by "Apple Pay services are currently unavailable. Please try again later."

Have tried maybe 70 times. Rebooted the phone as well.

In order to get the link to open Wallet, I had to text it to myself. If I tried from email or anything else it would open Safari instead.

Also tried to open link on iPad. Only opens safari, and does not open the Apple Pay section of settings.

So, still no joy here. It is becoming painfully clear to me that MY perceived value, as an Apple Stockholder, long-time customer, owner of multiple devices of all shapes and sizes, paid developer account, and overall unabashed enthusiast/fan boy, has NOTHING whatsoever to do with getting me onto whatever list is being used to generate the "invites", or activate my + sign. Enthusiasm is rapidly being replaced by discontent and apathy over a card that I do not actually need, but was excited to try.

I also am still waiting. I'm thinking about starting a thread just for those that haven't received an invite, so we can drown our sorrows together.
I got my card, but I am still upset for the rest of you. Please make sure I am invited to the party - I will leave my card at home

That’s because they haven’t enabled it for your Apple ID - it’s all server side - no way to game it.

all we can do is sit here and be annoyed by how they prioritize certain customers over others.
I don't think they are prioritizing one over another

This is unfolding exactly like an iPhone pre-order right down to us trying to parse every detail -- when did you sign up, what region are you in, are you on the Beta, did you get an invite or just the link or what...

It's great. We need to warm up for September ...

I was able to text the link to myself. It opens up Wallet with options to 'Continue' or 'Rates and Terms' but Continue gives me the popup for 'Unavailable'
