Apple Card Rolling Out Today to Limited Number of Customers

Seriously? Come on man. It’s random Lol. Apple isn’t giving special privilege to anyone. That’s how it is with anything.

Anybody else having issues with identity verification? I’ve uploaded my ID and verified ssn,(all matches application) had to call apple who transferred me to Goldman Sachs rep who had to open a case for me. She said someone will get in touch via email or phone soon. She didn’t have an eta.

Just curious if anybody else had the issue and got it resolved

I never received an email, My Wallet just all the sudden had it around 11am Eastern time. Keep checking the app as well.

I also went through the Wallet app and clicked the + button multiple times throughout the day and it would only show the option to take a picture of a card. Tried again through the Wallet app maybe 20 minutes ago and saw that the option to add Apple Card was there. Not sure if signing up to be notified again was what pushed me through.

Update - just got the email to apply for one. Also, for people who have Apple Card - does the "Make Default at Apple" button keep appearing in your card settings after having pressed and accepted it? It keeps popping up and I'm just wondering if it's a bug or just me.

I wonder why I was not asked to upload a pic of my ID or anything, I just typed in my income, last 4 of social and submitted and got approved.

I have not experienced that issue. I even used mine literally within 60 seconds of being approved lol. I was doing the app while in line to order lunch.

Cool...so emails/invites are still going out, thought they might be done for the day

Have you gone back into your settings and checked it out? It disappears after I click it but reappears after going out of the settings and back in.

I have tried over and over again clicking on the link. It would always just open in Safari. I even tried the texting to myself thing and clicking on that. Same. Would only open on Safari. After about the 50th time trying it finally opened in Wallet but then gave me the same error that it was “unavailable” It is progress even if it didn’t get my anywhere!

I put my link in notes and it opens in the Wallet app every time :)

It is now back. 4 Straight tries in messages and forum here brought up a white page. It now is back.

Thanks, I wasn't clear, sorry. Was talking about a paper statement that you would send a check back for payment. When they say do not send cash, that makes me believe you would receive a paper statement. I know banks are trying to paperless and they probably wouldn't openly advertise that.

You open Wallet, select Apple Card, press ... button, select Payment Accounts, then add your bank's routing number and account number. Apple Card asks if you want to use the same bank information as on your Apple Pay Cash account. Click yes, and it's done. It's super easy.

Interesting, after I was approved around 11am, I re locked my Trans Union report since it approved. About 30 minutes ago I start getting alerts from Trans Union and Credit Karma that they tried to pull credit on my locked report. I called Goldman Sachs and told them I just unlocked it again but they said no need to, they got all they needed at the time of approval. So I locked it again.

So is this a workaround to prevent from having a hard credit pull? ;)
