Apple Card Rolling Out Today to Limited Number of Customers

Got mine. Made a purchase with it just to see it change colors. ;)

Not sure how much I’ll actually end up using it though.

Several people have posted on here about being declined. One was able to later get approved.

I’m honestly worried about getting declined. I have been working hard to rebuild my credit after a divorce. I won’t post my scores but they are fair. We will see if I ever find out...before the official launch at least. Still hoping for the chance for a preview invite.
Thank you. I guess it’ll help if I read the entire thread. Haha. Crossing fingers you’ll get approve!

Over on Reddit they've got a google spreadsheet where some people have listed their status: submit and results.
Thank you. I needed this! You’re the hero!

You don't get a hard pull unless you get approved and accept the card, then it's a hard pull. Otherwise just checking to see if your approved with just be a soft check. So it won't hurt your credit just seeing if you can get it.

Has anyone seen anything about Apple offering deferred interest financing with the Apple Card like they have with the Barclay card? I remember using that for my iMac purchase years ago and got the interest free (deferred) and got enough points for a $25 iTunes gift card. It was the best of both worlds to not pay the interest and get Apple rewards.

This is very helpful. Someone with over an 800 score was declined, but they didn't fill out any of the other info.
Was it an 860 or 870?

I even sent an obsequious email to Tim Cook to see if I could jumpstart my email arrival. No reply yet. He never replies to me. Phil did once, though.

I have the gold and platinum AMEX cards too and it pisses me to no end that the designs are so inconsistent. The font sizes are different, the “c” in “American” are different between the two cards, and the border designs are different too

Guess you gotta have the Apple Pay Cash card activated so it will work with Apple Card

What happens if you haven’t activated Apple Pay Cash?

Amex's slow rebranding process has been a bit annoying (for someone that cares about design), since it's been going on for over a year now. The platinum, green, Blue Cash Everyday, EveryDay, EveryDay Preferred, Delta, and Hilton cards still have the old header text, while the gold has the new text that matches the typeface in the box logo. Gold, Blue Cash Preferred, Cash Magnet, and Marriott have been updated. The Centurion is also the old design on platinum and green. I get replacing physical cards takes time and waiting for expiration dates, but I bet that an afternoon in Photoshop could probably get all the card art updated across the board.

Not sure if it's related at all actually. I saw someone on reddit say that once they linked their Apple Pay Cash to their debit card then the Apple Card showed up as an option under the '+'. I did the same (linked to my bank account tho) but it did not unlock the option to add the card for me.

I thought that would help when invites started coming out and it didn’t help me.

Well, my "Daily Cash" from using the card went to my Apple Pay cash card, not sure where it goes if you don't have it activated.
