Wonder how many times someone has to sign up for it to work -- I am signing up once a day hoping that I am the next to get an invite. It is like waiting in a two hour line for your favorite ride and then getting to the front but the ride breaks down. Waiting, waiting, waiting....

I applied yesterday and got approved as well after I received the email from Apple that I can get early access to the Apple Card, I ordered the titanium card as well should be here in approx 6 business days. It did ask me to take a photo of my driver’s license front and back during the application process however the entire application processs was an otherwise quick and smooth ordeal.

WRONG! It's not necessary to ever carry a balance and show you're using the account. I hadn't used a card in over a year until there was a reason to use that particular card.

It's counter-productive for a cash-back card to EVER carry a balance. One interest hit and it'll wipe out all cash back gains. Stupidity!

while i understand what your saying, it's still ok to carry over a small balance. not using your credit card at all hurts your credit score. using all of your credit limit and not paying responsibly hurts your credit score. having a small balance roll over is fine and shows your an active user of the card. paying off the entire balance is very wise, but to tell people thats the only way to help your credit is also false. i'm not saying carry over $500 each month, just having a small balance roll over is fine. your cash back gains are not used to pay off the interest that was accumulated, you still hold onto those cash back rewards until either they expire or you use them. they dont just disappear the way your wording it.

I managed to get a invite to the early access and made a video of me activating the card on camera. This might help answer some questions about the process and what to expect from the apple card.

I signed up to be notified on the day it was announced but I also went back on Tuesday earlier this week to re-sign up again just in case and bam, yesterday I got an invite. Don't know if re-signing up to be notified did anything or not...

I got what he meant. I think what he meant was that the interest you'd get charged, would be greater than the amount of cash back you'd get, thereby rendering the point of the cash back card, basically useless since you aren't coming out ahead as you would be had you not accrued interest.

This is a general message to anyone complaining about interest rates - you should pay off your balance in full each month. The interest rate should never come into play. In general, people that are being charged interest are a higher risk to Goldman Sachs and they indeed will get a higher interest rate.

This to the HIGHEST POWER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tried again this morning. Still getting the "Apple Card Unavailable, try again later" error.
Anyone who was getting this error been able to get through?

I am about to give up on all this hype -- it appears that the invite has a deadline date of Aug 15 so those without invites have to wait one-two more weeks -- doesnt make much sense. Maybe last minute invites will go out today?

This is kind of what I'm leaning more toward at this point. If they have till the 15th to sign up, then it really wouldn't make a whole lot of sense to allow more newbies in. Unless the next batch would have till the 22nd to sign up, etc. But I would think with the iPhone event around the corner they would probably want the Apple Card in as many hands as possible, but who knows.

Are you just making things up?

Carrying a balance month-to-month is causing you to pay unnecessary interest. If you let a statement cut, and then pay in full you are essentially doing the same thing as carrying a balance each month, but without paying any interest.

For example, if my limit is $10K and I charge $1000 and let the statement cut my utilization is 10%. If I pay that amount in full by the due date I pay zero interest. Rinse and repeat that cycle.

Still no invite here - it'll come when it comes, not too worried about it. But as always - if anyone gets a new invite today, be sure to let us know there is still hope :)

Holy crap I love Daily Cash. My friend wanted to buy a Mac with my company’s discount and I put it on my Apple Card.

Came out to $2,000, he sent me the money to my account and I got $60 to my Apple Cash Card the next day.

Sooo much better than the points game these credit card companies play.
Oh o get it! I’m slow!

the official launch of the apple card was said to be happening later this month. so thats one thing.

also, with people with good credit getting high interest rates, i wonder, do those same people have the same interest rate on their other credit cards? what if they are just matching what you currently have on other cards? that could be another factor.

also, with credit karma, it tracks TU and Equifax right? what good app is there that will do experian?

One of the reasons I am getting it. Between the new iPhone and the upcoming 16" Macbook Pro,I rather get the 3% back.
