I still haven’t gotten an invitation. Are there specific times throughout the day that they get sent out?

You need to also go to your “wallet” and hit the + to see if your invite is there. I applied before I got the email invite and was approved. Hours later my invite came.
I have done that almost constantly throughout the past few days with no luck unfortunately lol

Indeed. This thread perfectly illustrates how the majority of respondents will uncritically swill the KoolAid without so much as looking at details.

- at its introduction, the card was touted as having “reasonable interest rate”, which was a lie, as the interest rate is 24% - which is the maximum allowed by law. Yes, there are lower tiers that you need to qualify for, and 99% of you won’t qualify for that. That announcement and claim alone were insult enough.

- yes, you get discounts and cash back, all of which are restricted and have limitations, while other cards have the top %age cash back on everything.

- yes, it has a shiny metal card that looks cool (it does) and could be argued to be Jony’s thinnest Apple product ever (hint: Jony didn’t design it), but that isn’t worth getting snowed by Apple.

There was a time when Apple would have negotiated and mandated a truly reasonable interest rate, and would have needed to resort to falsehoods and misrepresentations - unfortunately, it appears that attitude died with Steve Jobs.

Not interested in that card.

For a lot of people, myself self definitely among them, one very important additional thing that puts it above other cards is Apple’s on going commitment to security. I search out stores and gas stations that offer Apple Pay because I don’t have to worry about whether or not my card will be compromised. I’ve been down that road to many times. Now I can have that same security with a credit card. In the three years before I started using Apple Pay I had my credit card compromised 4 times, twice at gas stations and three times at food stores. I’ve not had that problem at all since I’ve started using Apple Pay and I expect the same level of security, or more, with my Apple Card. Is it worth it to, as some have called it, go with a rather bland card, in return for the added security? To me, and I think to many others, yes.

Plus, it’s Titanium! How cool is that? :)

This tweet seems to suggest the Apple Card Preview is over until the wider rollout. I, for one, am pretty teed off.

If this is true, then I don’t think the wait will be too long. Most likely sometime next week.

All about perspective my friend. For example, that immediate cash that you got on that $2,000 is nice, but the “points game” these credit card companies play can be far more lucrative than daily cash for a lot of people than cash back. For example, you got $60 off that $2,000 spent (your 3% cash back. With the “points game”, I just spent $9000 these last two months, and with that $ I got 3 nights at a Hyatt in return, worth over $650 after taxes. So I received almost a 7.5% return on my money. That same amount spent on the Apple Card would have only gotten me $270 in cash back.

It can be well worth it to play the points game for most people who care to put in the small bit of effort when it comes to the self education needed to work it properly.

My lifestyle doesn’t really involve the need to stay in hotels that often, but I absolutely agree. I have an AMEX Everyday Preferred and a Chase Sapphire Reserve so I’m aware of how points work, but I’m fine with the way I did this particular transaction.

One of the reasons I am getting it. Between the new iPhone and the upcoming 16" Macbook Pro,I rather get the 3% back.

Yeah and people will tell me/you still that there are better cards that will get you Hotel stays with points and blah blah blah, but nah. I’m happy with the way I’m doing things.

Excited to buy more Apple stuff for people.

Just found this in Apple Card details menu

True, my invite email still hasn't come, but I signed up for the card Wednesday night.

My question is, how are we going to be able to link the  card to apps like Mint or Acorns since there’s no login credentials or website.

It's already been shared that Apple will not be supporting this... Your only hope is that one day down the road they add support for this.

Wallet app has all the credentials you need. It autofills when using Safari as well.

Edit:
Sorry I misread the question. I wasn't looking at the particular apps you were listing.

Well excuse me I didn’t see that mentioned on any of the sites I went to.

Posted this yesterday but I called Apple, they connected me with Apple Pay who then took the card info (last 4), SeID number and opened an engineering ticket. They said they’d follow up.
Any answer on this?

If I had to guess, and I do as it is my duty here as a member of this forum, I'd say Tuesday August 13th. Tuesday launches is their thing just a bit and that puts it square in the middle of the month. They'll probably spend this weekend on the analytics, adjust email launcher, realign the phase inducers, and maybe a Level 1 diagnostic on the '+' button in the Wallet App.
My guess is that, though the email invites have stopped and no one apparently is able to just apply for one through the app, anyone on the card team at Apple Park is in for a looooong weekend.

The physical card is so awesome! I found out, I didn’t know this, but you can lock your card and order a replacement from the app. Pretty sweet!

Also, pretty neat, I clicked on that “make default at apple” link, so it added it to my apple id for purchasing stuff from app store, apple music and apple services. So now i will get rewarded for all the stuff i buy from there! Score!!

So do you have two Apple ID’s you use? One for your iTunes and one for cloud? Because I do and I’m trying to find out which ID I should sign up under.

No. I only have one apple id. I would just use your main one that you use to buy stuff on. Probably the itunes id.
