That seems to vary from bank to bank, but not that uncommon. Does anyone know if the balance is immediately reflected once you make a payment?

For example, I have a Citi double cash card that immediately adjust my available balance as soon as I do a payment. My Amex doesn't adjust the balance until the payment actually post.

yes, once you make a payment, your new balance is adjusted immediately. i bought two items yesterday, bubble tea and iron man/3 blurays from bestbuy. the bubble tea purchase just posted this morning and when i went to pay it, only the bubble tea balance was showing. once i made payment, the remaining balance reflected was the second purchase which hasn't posted yet from bestbuy.

Yesterday was my first day with the Apple Card. It didn't go quite as planned.

First, went to Costco to get an Apple TV 4K. (It's $10 cheaper at Costco so don't jump on me about getting 3% back at Apple). I thought I would get 2% back for using Apple Pay and 2% back on my Costco membership. While Costco accepts Apple Pay, they don't accept Master Card.

Next came home and was going to order a GoPro tripod mount from Amazon. I knew Amazon doesn't take Apple Pay but I wanted to see how the Apple Card would be added. I was surprised to see all of the fields populated with the info from my Apple Card. I wasn't sure what to expect but so much keeping the card secure. I didn't save it as a payment method and just used my old credit card to pay as normal. I got a high credit limit and want to have at least one card where the number is not out on the internet. The Apple Card will be Apple Pay only. The Amazon experience wasn't bad since I knew they didn't take Apple Pay, but it felt like another road block.

Today is a continuation.
I was supposed to meet a client at Panera for breakfast this morning. I thought, "cool, I will finally be able to use this thing". He couldn't make it for breakfast so instead we rescheduled for lunch at Outback, which doesn't take Apple Pay.

I'll find somewhere to use this thing eventually.

Just learned Apple employees get 10% off food with the Apple Card at Apple Park. I wonder what other benefits they may have with the card that a consumer doesn't.

just an fyi...i'm not sure if this is widespread, but best buy wont allow you to use apple pay for preorders. not entirely sure why that is. but today on the release of something i wanted to preorder, i see the apple pay option. strange.

I may be wrong, but is it 3% at the apple store or 3% on apple products? I would think the Apple TV, even bought at Costco, would count towards 3%.

Excellent. Thank you!

How would Apple Card know what you're purchasing? They only see the merchant. You only receive 3% back from the Apple Store. For instance, you can buy a Bose speaker from Apple and get 3% back but you cannot buy an Apple TV from Costco and get 3% back...

That is interesting. I also noticed you have to use the Best Buy app to even get the Apple Pay option for non-preorders.

Good point. I was just reading it as 3% back on Apple purchases, not purchases at the Apple store. I really think they should change that verbiage.

Approved Sunday. Check my FedEx app & there is a label created for my card. It will appears in your FedEx account before Apple will ever notify you. Arriving Thursday 8/15
Yeah mine says Thursday also, last time when my headphones came from Compton they got here next day so hopefully tomorrow for me

Just so you know, the card number that populates on the web isn’t the actual card number of the physical card. You basically have 2 different card numbers. One card number for online/web purchases and what not. The other, physical card, is the actual card number of the card that you cant see, only the last 4. I have already requested a new number for online. Pretty slick of Apple how this works. Freakin love the security! Such a fanboy I am. Lol!! By the way, I use my card all the time! I don’t even use my debit card anymore. Since Tuesday I have already earned $6.35 of FREE money for just general purchases. Enjoy!

For those of you that got approved Sunday afternoon/evening, have you gotten any sort of notification about your card shipping?

No. Approved Sunday evening. I'm assuming the delay is caused by much larger numbers of people signing up for the card compared to the prior week.

Interesting about the different card numbers! Just out of curiosity, why did you change the online card number if they are not identical anyway?

Honestly, I like to memorize my card numbers. I only requested a new number because my original didn’t roll off my tongue so well. I get it, a waste of resource, but Hey don’t give me the option to change it so easily. Lol! I only changed it once. Got lucky and received a super easy one in return.

can someone help with the requirements for the apple card, I was declined, with it, but was told my debt was to high. Though I don't have that much debt. I am using IOS 13 beta could this be why as well?

Now, when I hit that + in the Wallet app, then continue, I keep getting the last card I deleted from Wallet pop up asking me to verify information. Very frustrating!

Ordered the titanium card through the wallet app but haven’t received confirmation acknowledging that or providing shipping information. Is that normal?

Yes - there's a whole bunch of people that are seeing this as well. It'll get shipped over the next few days. FedEx shows the information earlier than the wallet app will. I found out my card was delivering on the day before.

On a side note. For those who have cards show up under add a card but they no longer have them or don’t want to show up, you need to call Apple, they will forward you Apple Pay who will then open a ticket with engineering.

Did they ever resolve this for you? I tried and they escalated but eventually did nothing to help me remove the cards.

I ordered mine on 8/7 and still no info. i used iMessage and they said they are aware the issue and trying to resolve.

People that haven't received the physical card and it's been more than 3 business days since approved:

Did you ever get an email inviting you to apply for the card, even after applying?

No, I just hit the + sign and signed up, approved and ordered card. Got an email after said Welcome to Apple Card nothing since.

They must still be working on the kinks with the approval process – just tried again and was asked for full SSN and Driver ID scan, but was denied with new reasons. Starting think that one theory about if you’re not on official invite yet, even if you get it days after, might be holding some water given everyone’s random approvals, #’s, etc. Just glad it’s a soft check lol.
