Like today you got the email? I think I need the email to get my physical card shipped, as I haven't been officially invited yet.

Yes. But, even though it came to the email associated with my iCloud account, they are telling me, “The email address you provided does not match an Apple ID signed in to iCloud.”

You may want to check the email address because I had a similar problem today. I received an invite, but it was to an iCloud alias email, not my Apple ID email address. I guess in my rush to get notified, I missed the part about entering my Apple ID email address where it clearly says "Enter your Apple ID email address..."

I called support. I still can't apply until I receive the invite to my Apple ID email address. Ugh.

Apple ID email address. I just had to write it again.

The email came to my AppleID email account.

No offense, but if you already have your Apple Card, digital and/or physical, I officially hate you right now.

Have a nice day, jerks. I hope your physical cards fail to activate properly but they somehow still get compromised.

In the meantime, FML and my regular credit cards.

I promise to take this all back once I get my invite. To my Apple ID email address.

Note: Just having fun, admins. :)

Got mine today!

I received an email today but it says, "Your early access invitation is waiting, but we need your Apple ID to send it". I received the email today in the mailbox assigned to my icloud though, so I don't get it.

Any ideas?

Makes no sense. Why would the email say the email signed up on the site doesn't match my Apple ID? The email is to the email which is my Apple ID. Not sure why this has to be so confusing.

Yep, same with me...sent to my Apple ID email address saying that the email addresses don't match. Guess this is why they wanted to "beta test" the rollout of the card.

Yes, appears many of us received this email today. They are confused because it is my apple ID.

Well I'm glad I'm not the only one with this issue. I'm in a chat support right now to see if they have any insight and I'll update with whatever info they can give me.

I got the same email, but is it just me or does it just take you to the regular Apple Card notify me page? Does this mean it's rolling out to everyone who requested an invite within the next 2 days?

I just got my invite. But I applied and was approved on Sunday. Now just waiting for the titanium card.

Ok I added one of my old email addresses to the notify list just for the heck of it and it and got an invite where my other email address ( put myself on the notify list long ago with it) still hasn’t gotten it yet... anyway I got the invite and changed my Apple ID to the email address but it’s still not showing up in the wallet app.. blah! I use to use that email address for my Apple ID but changed it a while back so guess I will keep trying it and maybe it will show up.

I just received an email from Apple with the subject "Your invite to Apple Card is waiting".

It says that the email address that I provided does not match an Apple ID signed into iCloud. When I signed up for notification I might have typed in another one of my email addresses.

Funny thing is that I had used the link that was floating around on here and was approved last Thursday morning and received the physical card Monday.

So...the request I submitted right after the event - which (didn't read very carefully) was NOT my Apple ID email - arrived, finally, today, with the same message about an address mis-match. Oh well...I got in via the + sign in the Wallet app last Sunday.

Ok reapplied for the second time today and was approved! Slightly upped my income after talking to my partner
Mind if I ask by how much? I erred on the low side and was denied yesterday but don’t want to reapply entering the high side only to be denied again. I just can’t believe it won’t hurt you to be shot down two times in two days.

Same thing happened to me. Guess I’m glad I’m not the only one.

I'm hearing that this is a prevalent issue with the latest set of emails. They screwed up and sent the wrong version. I got the same one and then double checked my Apple ID on my iPhone and in iCloud it absolutely is the correct email address. So....

I received two of these emails today: one at my non-apple-ID email (I had initially signed-up to be notified with it, before realizing they want the apple ID), and one to my apple ID email. Both told me that they need my apple ID (and sent me to the page to re-sign-up to be notified).

I know that icloud.com, mac.com, and me.com email addresses are all equivalent. But I noticed that the email to my apple ID went to my @icloud.com email address, and I notice (when looking at my iphone/ipad) that my icloud account info shows that I'm signed-in using my @mac.com email. Could that be the difference? Does what I use on their "notify" page need to match precisely what my iPhone thinks is my iCloud sign-in (even though all 3 domains should be equivalent)?

Or, are things just generally screwed-up with the Apple Card sign-up page/databases?

Add me to the list of people getting an “invite” that takes me to the invite page, and claims my @mac.com email address that I use on iCloud isn’t my Apple ID.

that could be the issue in your case, but i got the same mail today and i am logged in with exactly the same address that they addressed the mail to, as is the case with other people apparently.

I think they’re just screwed up

lord. why are there so many people here still beating it into us that there are better cards out there? hey, we already know this. we know about the citicash rewards card, we know about the extra year warranty on cards like the chase saphire card, we. know. these. things.

so why the hell are you beating it into us? people like myself, dont give a rats @$$ about that. i'm not one of those credit card owners that does all this research to find the credit card that gives me THE MOST cashback or the most miles evar! i'm pretty simple, i have a credit score over 800, and i love my apple ecosystem. I already have a credit card with my bank, i have a great high credit limit with them since i've had the card since 2001. Will i be closing that card for the apple card? hell no. even with my great credit score, they aren't going to give me the same credit limit that i have with my bank.

this card is getting so much hate from the 'credit card god users' out here and for what? how are you benefiting from said attacks on the apple card? this card will be used by many, this card will be appreciated by many, this card will help many with their credit. just like your cards did for you. so why are you crying over who gets this card?

this card has been bashed so hard by so many on youtube and on here, but really, when you think about it this a perfect starter card. for who? i'm so glad you asked. those entering college! because teens are dumb pricks who dont understand how a credit card works even AFTER you explain it to them. they are trying to maintain a social life whilst learning how to maneuver around college and learn how to balance their credit. with all that, you know they'll be late with making payments and look at that, no late fees! college students who own an iphone should and probably will be eating up this card if they know about all the bonuses they will be getting.

the extras that draw college students, or heck, even high school students whose parents want them to learn and build credit are huge. no late fees, for the average white guy, which i'm sure they must come from money right? so they travel a lot with their fam, boom! no foreign transaction fees. another bonus when they decide to go to a family vacay to europe or south africa or japan. dem white boys, so rich >.>

but those perks also interest people like me, i've been traveling a lot more. i've been to Japan and Canada in about a years time and i'm returning back to japan this upcoming february. so the apple card will be used heavily there for me. no foreign transaction fees! mind you, my banks credit card already gave me that, so why is apple card better in this reguard? well because i get same day cash back for every single time i use apple pay. another perk for people like me, and for the teens in high school and college. sure it's cents, pennies. but that balance remains in your apple cash wallet. with it there you can send it to friends whom you owe money to, or you can transfer that balance to your bank account or help pay a little bit of your credit card balance. with ease!

the other bonus i just thought up of is how to pay the card. say your a citibank user, you have a citibank checking account, but you have a bank of america credit card, because you like their perks (i know it doesn't make sense but just listen). how do you typically pay your bank of america credit card with your citibank checking account? well you have to set it up via billpay right? enter the routing and checking number on your credit card payment section, twice, enter your name, confirm it all etc. well with apple card, those steps are pretty much done for you if you've been using apple cash for some time now. why? it already has your checking account info, so when you pay your apple card balance, you just choose your bank account to transfer funds from when you pay. theres a video on it at apple's youtube page and that is so much easier to pay the card off.

i could probably keep going a bit more but i'll stop here. this is why we want the card. hearing you guys keep throwing in our faces how citi or chase are better for rewards, is kinda dumb and annoying. we dont really care about those things too much. we love the daily cashback, the ease of making payments, the fact that we can see how much interest is being paid when we select how much we want to pay each week or each month, the security of the card having no credit card numbers on the back of the physical card, the disposable credit card numbers we can generate at will, the integration of apple maps with where we made said purchases, etc. this is why we want the apple card, so please, shut the front door already about how your card is better. your just annoying as frak.

jesus.

signed,

by everyone who doesn't care about YOUR card.

this might be the greatest macrumors post ever imo. So great in fact I don’t feel the need to read even one more post on the Apple Card topic. Thank you. Seriously.

Your credit isn’t actually hard pulled until after you accept the credit limit and APR after you were approved!
