Your little rant is no better than the people boasting about better cards. Just a different side of the story. So please, shut the front door already about how you don’t want to get more money back for the money you spend. We accept the ignorance every time we try to educate.

Jesus.

Signed,

By everyone who cares enough to try to share the info about better cards out there to help people get more for their money.

P.s. Not saying Apple Card doesn’t have merit, because it does. But it’s merit is going to come in the way of paving the way in security and it’s software integration, (hopefully) pushing the better reward holding card issues to do similar things. It’s already happening with chase trying to beef up their expense tracking in their app shortly after Apple announced their expense tracking features.

I liked the part where he talks about how great an Apple Card would be for college students because they’re teens who are too dumb to understand credit cards after having things explained to them.

Ironic huh? Lol

My point exactly. We should start a thread for people that "don't get it" called Cards That I Believe Are Better Than Apple Card.

^^^^THIS^^^^
[doublepost=1565796308][/doublepost]BTW----Ordered early Monday, shipped just now. Just showed in App. No notification. Coming UPS. Would prefer FedEx, they normally knock.

Sorry for being clueless. Why do I want to this ?

By default, you basically agree to give up your right to file a lawsuit against Apple or Goldman Sachs when signing up for the card. Instead, you have to see an arbitrator. Opting out frees you from that.

The article I linked to provides more info.

i'd have agreed with you but the main difference is the fact that, the people i'm talking about in my rant are the ones forcing people like me to not accept the apple card and to use the cards they have. so your lil rant had nothing to do at all with what i was trying to say. which was a bunch of people were literally insulting us and our choice to choose a card we want for ourselves. i'm "attacking" those people. not the people who dont care what card i have and are just educating the base.

feel free to have your opinion, i dont mind reading peoples opinion, but when it starts to attack others, than i have issues with it.

I'm sure it's been brought up before, but it's probably a good idea to opt out of the arbitration clause via chat. Literally took me one minute.

https://arstechnica.com/information...with-forced-arbitration-heres-how-to-opt-out/

thanks for that. didn't know. i just did it within the chat messages system. simple and took like 1 minute to complete.

Yes, I was approved 7:36am Monday. You should be close.
[doublepost=1565808246][/doublepost]How long after anyone got their "Your Card Has Shipped" notice in Wallet were you able to track the UPS number?

Thanks

Pretty much right away, I have UPS My Choice and could see it before the notice in Wallet. It just left Louisville, KY, in case you are on the East Coast, too.

Some people were reporting seeing it in the FedEx app before it showed up in the Wallet app. I don't know whether that will be true with UPS, which is now delivering these (by 2nd Day Air).

FWIW, I got my card Sunday evening and the physical card was shipped UPS 2nd Day Air on Tuesday, due tomorrow, if that timeline helps. The schedule probably would have been the same if I'd been approved on Monday, since Sunday isn't a business day.

thanks I will do that now

Lmao total bs. So funny how people will just throw numbers out on a message board. Doesn’t weed out pathological liars who get 40k limits on a credit card that gives $500 credit limits. If you make that much money you don’t need a credit card, honey.

In general, banks would rather give credit cards to those who do not actually need the money. That's how you get higher credit limits. The more money you don't need (have), the more you can potentially borrow.

Yesterday was my first day with the Apple Card. It didn't go quite as planned.

First, went to Costco to get an Apple TV 4K. (It's $10 cheaper at Costco so don't jump on me about getting 3% back at Apple). I thought I would get 2% back for using Apple Pay and 2% back on my Costco membership. While Costco accepts Apple Pay, they don't accept Master Card.

Next came home and was going to order a GoPro tripod mount from Amazon. I knew Amazon doesn't take Apple Pay but I wanted to see how the Apple Card would be added. I was surprised to see all of the fields populated with the info from my Apple Card. I wasn't sure what to expect but so much keeping the card secure. I didn't save it as a payment method and just used my old credit card to pay as normal. I got a high credit limit and want to have at least one card where the number is not out on the internet. The Apple Card will be Apple Pay only. The Amazon experience wasn't bad since I knew they didn't take Apple Pay, but it felt like another road block.

Today is a continuation.
I was supposed to meet a client at Panera for breakfast this morning. I thought, "cool, I will finally be able to use this thing". He couldn't make it for breakfast so instead we rescheduled for lunch at Outback, which doesn't take Apple Pay.

I'll find somewhere to use this thing eventually.

I've only used it twice, but Bestbuy was one, small auto repair shop was the other.

Have MyChoice also. But still no tracking. Can’t seem to find the tracking number. Like it is a bad number.

Maybe just too soon with the increasing volume. Will see tomorrow, then call Goldman and UPS. So Close, So far. :)

Has anyone that had to renter their Apple ID email get resent an invitation yet?

Good question. I was going to ask, but you beat me to it. Apple must have received 1,000+ entries/indications of my valid Apple ID email address in their “notify” list. Perhaps I’m jacking up my chances by entering my email so many times. Oh well.

Also, while we wait, can you “Approved Apple Card” people go somewhere else to discuss shipping and activation issues? I can care less about that stuff right now. Thank you. ;-)

The card is not really necessary anyway. Just for fun, when I paid a bill at the car repair shop today, I asked them to use the Apple Card number since they didn't have a NFC reader and that worked, too. Only downside, 1 instead of 2% cash back, oh well. :)

A lot of places I shop still don't take Apple Pay. So, will use the card frequently. Usually 3k a month then pay it all off. Be interested to see if any places that currently take it will not take it with Goldman's. Or, vice versa---

Most of the stores I go to accept Apple Pay. I would be surprised if a store declined the card, it's just another MasterCard after all.

No email since the one yesterday. But, I went into my Wallet, and what should appear? My shiny new Apple Card.
