Anyone that was approved, do you have a support number directly to Goldman Sachs? Apple support is not really of any use in trying to work out GS denial for “too many recent applications.”

Sounds like you applied too many times changing your income. Keep applying. Maybe they’ll admire your dedication.

I applied for and was approved for the Apple Card on August 7. The same day, I requested a physical Apple Card be mailed to me. It's now August 20, and the app still says "Your Card Has Been Ordered. You will be notified when your card has shipped." Anyone else having this problem?

I'm in the same boat. I ordered mine on August 12th and the app states that the card still has not shipped.

Only one issue I’ve found so far which really isn’t an Apple Card issue more like an Apple Cash issue. It won’t let me add my bank account to the cash card. I didn’t know just to add a bank your bank had to support Apple Pay. I thought it would only stop you from adding the actual card. Kinda sucks so I just added my cash app debit card to Apple Pay and transfer my money to cash app them transfer it to Apple Cash. Oh well.

It was changed once. Second time to include income from all sources.

The email from Apple/Goldman specifically states to reapply if you think the decision was in error.

still haven't recieved my credit card. tracking hasn't updated yet. so maybe by end of week?

now that the card is open for applying to everyone, what do ya'll think of the 3% cashback for those using uber and ubereats?

Likewise. I have to go through the wallet app in settings to see the "Make default card" option.

settings--wallet & apple pay--default card.
That option is not available in settings or anywhere else on my phone. I know this because I looked at the screen shot someone provided and matched it up with the corresponding settings on my phone.

How come some of you are making payments already when a statement hasn’t generated!?? If you want your credit affected positively, wait for a statement to generate then make your payment. My AC was opened the 1st day preview notices were sent out on 08/06. I do not have a statement yet. Once I see the statement generated, paying it off.

Personally because it is not my daily card, so I don't want a statement to cut with a balance.

Ok, understandable.

I use the Apple Card instead of my debit card. Everything is paid for by AC for the free apple cash. Then I’ll pay it off once my statement generates. I already generated $13 in Free Apple Cash in exactly 2 weeks. That equates to $52 a mo/$624 a year. Pretty sweet!

I just cancelled my Apple Card. Sneaky Apple made it the default card in my wallet, replacing my previous Wells Fargo card which was my default for years. MicroSoft put a $6.99 subscription charge on the Apple Card.

I failed to read that you have to give Sachs access to your bank account . .. I do not do that unless it is life or death. They want that info to pay the $6.99 and I told them I would have Wells Fargo send them a check and they said they could not do that. I had $15k and their lowest interest rate which was still more than double what my Wells Fargo card charges. So I cancelled and am betting that Sachs will find a way to pay their bill!

No cancelled and deleted from my wallet.

Warning, make sure Apple did not make their card the default as they do not warn you, they just do it.

Lol dude why did you apply then? How else did you expect to pay it? You’re not very smart are you?

I don't know if it was different for you, or if you just went through the prompts too quickly. I know that I was definitely asked if I wanted to make the Apple Card my default (see attached photo)

Um.

I *just*--like less than 30 minutes ago--applied and was approved. They very definitely asked me during the set up process whether I wanted to make it my default card.

Anyone know which bureau they pull from (I will need to unlock before apply assuming I eve get an invite)

this is old and so likely answered, but they pulled my Transunion FICO 8 score.

Sorry buddy I don’t pay interest. I pay it off as a spend it.

That's what I envision myself doing. Purchase, transfer from linked account to make payment. Easy peasy.

Haven't received an email from Apple but just thought I'd try adding it in Wallet today and it showed up! Activated and card is ordered! I put my email in to be notified back when the card was first announced and again last week on Thursday.

Same here. LOL.

I believe there are two ways. 1. linking your bank account (which you didn't want), or 2. You can pay your credit card via Apple Cash (Unless you don't want that too?). But of course your apple cash is also linked to your bank account too?

The Apple Card is actually my lowest credit limit at $10k and lowest interest rate at 12.9%. All my other cards have higher limits and near or over 20% interest rates. Doesn't matter I never carry a balance but I just found this all interesting.

Same. I only got approved for $8k but have two other credit cards with limits exceeding $20k.

Math. *shrugs*

LOL

“Sneaky Apple?”

They DEFINITELY warn you - they ask you if you want to make it the default, and you have to tap a specific button to make that happen. They definitely do NOT do it by default.

And you do not have to give Sachs access to your bank account.

I won’t lie, I chose not to make it my default card and two days later it was somehow my default. Everything else that person said was wonky, but that actually did happen to me.

Sachs will not have access to my banks, period.

Ummmmm

Excuse me. I do not remember it asking but like others said, it must have.

Still glad I cancelled the card, you enjoy giving you bank info out like candy, I will not.
