I put it back in the case. It's been 20 minutes and it already slid to the left. It's driving me nuts. I didn't even touch it.

I don't want a case that makes my iPad move in it when it isn't being used.

I'm likely returning this case or selling it to someone. Seems that most places have stock of this case now so a return is likely. Maybe I'll look at the Marware case and see if I like it. Maybe the Apple store has other folio cases I can look at and decide if I like them.

It might be because it's new and tight I'd give it a few days, I haven't seen mine slide at all but I have a best skins even skin on the back of my iPad and that makes more friction.

BTW the Orland park store didn't have any but thar docent surprise me as I always find that store lacking in stock and customer service, by far my least favorite apple store I've been to.

It's not that tight at all. I don't see how it could get better.

I've never been to Orland Park. The worst Apple store I've ever been in is Woodfield's. Worst store in the world. The service sucks, the Geniuses are a bunch of *******s, and the selection sucks. Woodfield is an example of Apple having a store for image only.

The best one for me, so far, is Deer Park. Always have things in stock, always helpful. It's a 30 minute drive for me - Woodfield or Old Orchard are closer and I work by Oak Brook - but it's so much better. They're amazed when I say I come that far for the Apple store. I always fill out the surveys for them so they know they do a great job.

Heh I use to work at the woodfield store but that's when it opened, it was the 4th one ever so we had a lot to live up to, I'm sure that far changed now.

BTW you did tuck the flap in?

When Woodfield opened it was great. I thought it was awesome. But now it sucks. I'm sure you would recognize the change. There isn't a single person there who has been there from the start now. Everyone was awesome when it opened. Now I get an ******* Genius who tells me he can't replace my melting power adapter for my MacBook when it's obviously failing.

I have been tucking the flap in. I put it back in the case to see if it fits better after the weekend but if it doesn't improve by Monday it's going back.

Ugh, got my 3G today and tried the Apple case...sucks ass. I'm going to just get a sleeve to keep it in when not in use.

I've had mine since launch, and it hasn't slid one bit. You do have the flap in there tightly?

I'm not sure what all the talk of the iPad moving to the left is?

If you have the flap properly inserted, how could the iPad move? And even if it did, just push it over again, as it couldn't possibly move much.

All of my buttons and dock connector are well centered. I have had my iPad in the Apple case since April 3rd. It goes everywhere with me. Recently, the case served me well on several flights and hotel stays.

No, I don't like how dust collects on the edges, nor how easily moisture temporarily "marks" the case... but I certainly don't see any movement.

I have an Incipio Feather back on order, as around the house, I don't need the Apple case. I also use an Incase sleeve for added protection when traveling.

The apple case is the only one that I have seen which has the angle options, a flap to close over the screen while still remaining very slim and minimalistic. I dont have an ipad yet, but this is the case I will probably get.

I've had the Apple case since day one and here are my thoughts.

[+] Heavy protection
[+] Stand good for typing
[+] Covert - I don't know about you but I like the low key appeal when in public
[+] High quality, tight fit (well mine is at least)
[+] Good for mounting on headrests so my daughter can watch Up.

[-] Gets super dirty
[-] Dirt/Gunk stays between iPad screen and edges of case
[-] The stand isn't really that sturdy, had it fall over occasionally
[-] Hard to access screen rotation lock switch

I just ordered a Switcheasy Nude case, but I'm still keeping this Apple case so I can mount it in my car for my daughter, that's about it.

Always do.

I'll probably keep the case at this point. It'll have been two weeks on Monday. I haven't seen another case that interests me so I'll use my sleeve and the apple case.

.

I wonder if they started making the case a bit more loose after a lot of people seemed to complain about how hard it was to get the iPad in and out of it? Mine is tight as heck the iPad won't slide at all even without the flap tucked behind it. This is probably the only case I've ever actually preferred having on a device instead of going naked.

has anyone tried a lint roller to clean this thing?

Fedex shippping label holders (the clear plastic ones) might work well for lifting dirt and dust off the cover. I use them at the office on clothing.:D

I really like the case which is a surprise given the amount of criticism I'd read online about it. Biggest problem is the dust that collects around the edges between the iPad and case, very annoying.
