Trump working with top business executives because he wants to grow the US Economy. #MAGA

Good luck, President Elect Trump
Stop drinking the kool-aid. It was a photo op pure and simple. If it was actually a productive meeting these tech leaders would have spoken to the press afterwards. None of them did.

It's painfully obvious none of those tech leaders really wanted to be there yesterday, and for Trump it was just a photo op. All he cares about right now is holding campaign rallies, trolling the press on Twitter and making people come to trump tower to kiss the ring.

Total BS. His children are there because he's groomed them to be trusted advisors of his business endeavors. He's brought them along to be his eye and ears and to also assist him in making government decisions. Furthermore, let's say this was actual "corruption". How is this any different than when any number of First Ladies try to create policy? How is this different than when the Clintons set up Chelsea in plush jobs? How is this any different when the FOUR generations of the Bushs and Kennedys, 2 generations of the Gores and and a host of others are made the political elite. I could go on. #GetReal
It's called a conflict of interest. Remind me of which formal policy meetings of previous presidents elect had three of the president's children at the table along with his son-in-law? Which meetings with foreign presidents were hosted by Chelsea, exactly? (Ivanka has been personally present and in on phone calls with multiple foreign leaders, places where she and her father have business interests.) And which other presidents kept their business holdings in something other than a blind trust during their presidency?

Does Apple even "own" any plants that manufacture their products? Trump doesn't know what he is talking about.

But his children - Don and Eric at least - run his private LLCs. They have absolutely no business sitting in on cabinet selection, security or any other meetings. If they wants to put all his businesses into a blind trust fine. But so long as Don and Eric are running them they have no business being anywhere near the West Wing or Oval Office. We didn't elect the Trump family. Donald Trump is not a King.

Trump is already making America great again, that's for sure
By what measurment are you making that statement?
Come on now. Tell us what the situation of something was per Nov 8 and what Drump has directly done since then to change it?
Until he is sworn in then he has no power. He can say a lot of things and get the duck lined up but making America great already? Please stop drinking the Trump brand of cool-aid.
Come back after a year and lets have a discussion on the subject.

I don’t believe Cook’s excuse claiming a lack of vocational talent in U.S. manufacturing. After all, according to the AMA, the U.S. still manufacturers more products than we import. Look at our GDP. Not to forget, China’s machining and tooling capabilities were invented by the West. China’s labor advantage is that their labor pool has the patience to perform tedious manual assembly and quality checks but those tasks are on the drawing board to be performed by robots—something even Foxxcon is exploring.

Actually, all of us old folks look like we are frowning even when we’re not. The corners of our mouths start to droop when we hit 50.

The US workforce right now cannot ramp up manufacturing and hire 10,0000 skilled workers for the job in 4-6weeks. Such an undertaking would take years. Or move thousands of labors from one factory in one state to another in a short period of time to meet manufacturing demands.

1) Oh they're working instead of laughing? That's so bad. I am SURE that meetings with Tim Cook are a blast at Apple, and everyone laughs from beginning to end.
2) I am also sure that Trump is able keep a photo-op going for two hours. Really? You think that those guys would waste two hours for Trump?
3) If they didn't want to be there they could've just said no. it's not that those are small animals in the jungle.

Really? Are you seriously asking this question?????
We're still waiting on the damning evidence/proof/whatever that proves Trump is a misogynist, racist, homophobe, etc, et.al. Where is it? Maybe Kanye or Ray has it?

We need actual evidence, not interpreted narratives that are actually opinions.

malexandria, where'd you go? Oh...

Education? The jobs are going to China and Mexico because the companies can pay them peanuts.

I wish it was that simple. As I wrote : There are more factors.

From 2012 FoxConn employs 30,000 ! on site engineers to support production. Not happening in USA at any amount of $$$.

Too many people in the world and not everybody can have a job. That is not even counting the people who live outside (Handicapped, addicted, etc.)

The guy isn't even in office, hasn't broken a law and you are already calling for his head. Wow.

Liberals are angry, violent people

Funny... people in Britain want to keep Trump out because he's racist. Britain's must be watching too much CNN and reading Yahoo articles from unknown media outlets. Love to hear why Brit's think he's racist?

Also... as an American, I really don't care what other countries think about Trump. If he does what he says, puts America first and can fix the problems he's promised, I'm all in. So far, I'm liking what I see.

BINGO, great post

He looks completely lost. Elon was probably talking about technology.
Elon "Yeiha Tim, great to see that the AppleCar autodrive found this place.
Now without enough Airpods, guess you brought us some new MacBooks today....?"

True, the logistics would be impossible in that time frame. But that time-frame is an exaggeration. In would take a couple of years just to prepare a facility. In that time, Apple could recruit an experienced labor pool to supervise and train an unskilled one. Build it in Texas or Arizona and hire Mexican immigrants with the understanding that they apply for citizenship and pay taxes.

I really wish it could've been Steve at this meeting. Sorry Tim but Steve's Apple hugely changed the world every couple years with revoluationary products. Steve and Apple were like Elon and Tesla/SpaceX. Now in 5 years all that Tim's Apple has come up with it a Smartwatch that no one wants. Tim's a wallflower in this company. Steve would've been the brightest light in the room.
I feel for Tim when people compare him to Steve. Sorry man, Tim is a different kind of guy with a different skill set. Steve obviously trusted his judgement. The issue with Apple is that they do not have a visionary anymore and that's not Tim's fault. None of the fat billionaires of Apple's executive club seems to posses this qualification. Apple will need to find that guy somewhere.
IMO, Tim's fault is his vision that Macs are no longer one of Apple's core businesses. Right now the love seems to go only to the laptops despite all the huge issues they are having. The desktop line and it's accessories are left on the dust and it's a crime IMHO. That's my main beef with Tim since he took over.

Conservative projection hard at work as always.
Where is the counter video of a Conservative doing this?

Fact is, Liberals are all "open minded, respect all views, etc" UNLESS those views differ from their own.

Then they viciously attack. Nice, right? Unreal.

Tim looks like he's only there to take notes. Suggestion - next time sit a little closer to the conference table. And take along a bowl of AirPods to share.

Yep. I'm a silent supporter. No bumper sticker (don't want tires slashed), no hat/shirt (don't want to be attacked) and I generally keep my views to myself around co-workers (don't want HR to come after me).

So nice, right? Good job tolerant left, you've successfully struck genuine fear into my head. What a kind bunch you all are.

-->Stronger Together! Nah, not at all, sadly.

It's not BS - Republicans bitched about Hillary trying to get health care reform for years - suddenly you're all now saying its ok. That's rather hypocritical. Either play the high ground or don't. you can't have it both ways. And there's a huge difference - his children are actively running his private companies.
