If they served that dinner to me as the president, I’d fire the chef.

Bring me some real food.
What, like Cheetos, a Big Mac and a Mountain Dew?

This is real food—not the processed garbage that most Americans gorge themselves on. I used to be that guy eating like hell and it wasn’t until my honeymoon that I ate at a Michelin Star restaraunt and it changed everything. I started learning how to make some of these things at home using fresh ingredients from our farmers market and I’m eating healthier, tastier food today because of it.

Now if you’re instead talking about a home cooked meal or something like BBQ then that’s fine, but if you give it a chance this food can be really good too. I’m a KC boy and eat burnt ends, pulled pork, and often make the pilgrimage to Lambert’s down in Ozark for a tasty southern meal with throwed rolls. But this is also real food, and it’s real good.

It never surprises me that the right only cares about their own lives, never anyone or anything else.
I don’t see the lives of my countrymen affected, despite the incessant whining and cringing by a spoiled and privileged few and their media enablers. In fact, I see people keeping more of their paycheck, a solid economy, more jobs and the end of Isis.

Tim Cook is CEO of a company that is on their way to becoming a trillion dollar company. I don't think he needs to give Trump the time of day, and Trump certainly doesn't deserve it. Sometimes what you don't do (like not going to the dinner at Trump's White House) is just as important as what you do. This is a missed opportunity to distance Apple from a swindler who is helping to bankrupt the country by enriching himself and his buddies through insane tax breaks, and bankrupting the morals of the country by his racist policies.

Very, very disappointed in Cook for attending and giving even a hint of legitimacy to this egomaniac. The classless occupants of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue invited a single Dem to the dinner. It's customary to invite at least a few members of the opposition leadership. There were no journalists, thus continuing his war on the press and 1A. And for someone that took pains to come out and try to inspire other LGBT Americans, Cook is attending with a Who's Who of Homophobes with Pence at the head.

The job of the president is to represent and look out for American Citizens. Trump has been doing that since day one. I don't agree with all of his policies but I can admit success when it is present. Say whatver you want about him, he has done what his primary task is pretty damn well. He isnt PC and he isnt giving handouts to non citizens but the average American citizens life has actually improved under his presidency. Unemployment and food stamp usage are at record low numbers nation wide, ISIS are on on the run, North Korea is at a historic moment in willingness to cooperate with the united states, most Americans are paying less in taxes and keeping hundreds if not thousands of dollars a year in their pockets to spend as they see fit. You don't have to like the guy to accept that there have been obvious positives for US Citizens under his tenure. Statements like "the right only care about themselves" are as idiotic as "the left only care about your opinion if it matches their opinion". What have you done that is so helpful to other people? And no, complaining about republicans online doesn't help anyone.

That’s cute. Hillary will never be President though so I suggest you get over it.

He’s the duly elected president of these United States. 60 million Americans voted for him. Criticize someone when you feel someone is wrong, but the “all Trump all the time” focus of people on the left is insanity. You people are absolutely deranged. It’s truly mind boggling.

Let the CEO of the worlds biggest company dine at the White House without an analysis of ***** Donald Trump and all the hand wringing. Get a grip, people, please. Most of your lives have not changed one iota since the guy was elected.
Well said.

by his racist policies.
How are they racist?

And yes I will patiently wait for an answer. We all will.

You really don’t understand that Trump likes the LGBT community right? I should know considering I’m part of it...

You don’t see the damage he’s done to the State Department, the EPA, the FCC? You don’t see how he’s hurt our international standing and our national security? You don’t see him ceding American power on the world stage and granting China more power and influence? If you could look past the extra $10 on your paycheck, maybe you could.

Obama mucked up our national security. Hillary damaged and trampled all over the state department. The EPA is led by a schmuck and he should be replaced, as with the fcc. I give you two for 4 there and those two are far less significant than the first two, of which the last administration was a complete failure.

You XXXXX are obsessed with Hillary and never fail to bring her into any discussion. I predicted Trump would win (although I had expected even extreme Right-wingers would abandon him once the "Grab them by the *****!" tape came out; foolish me!) and have never been a fan of the Clintons. The man is incompetent, racist and by all means should be jail, not hosting a state dinner.

He could at least go through the motions and invite a few Dem leaders to the dinner. The only half-ass decent thing he's done is call out NRA lapdogs in the face of the Parkland shooting. Of course, even that wound up being a flipflop.

That's the equivalent of Black people liking David Duke.

I don't know any member of LGBT communities that like him. Libertarians, Republicans and Blue-Dog-Hillary-hating Dems among them.

Don't forget Devos at Education, Carson at HUD, Perry at Energy... Hell, it'd be easier attempting to list the maybe-kinda-sorta half-ass appointees. The lot of them are crooks lining their pockets just like he and his family are doing on a daily basis.

Then I guess I’m the first. Make sure you alert the leader so they can kick me out because I don’t toe the fascist groupthink line.

LBGT folk I know run the political gamut. As does some Queer acquaintances and political opponents that now hate him or can't stomach mention of his name. Not because they're fascists, but because he's trying to emulate one. Everything about his administration has been harmful. The Transgender military ban, siding with anti-LGBT sides in court cases (sometimes in dramatic reversals), dismantling health initiatives, dismantling civil rights protections with additional weakening forthcoming and outright discrimination planned; now he simply won't even acknowledge those communities as though they're dog **** on the bottom of his golf shoes.

The economy is basically the same as under Obama (in fact, there were fewer new jobs created in 2017 than in any year since 2010 and GDP growth was lower in 2017 than in two of Obama’s last three years in office).

But, more broadly, ethical competence is as important in a president as economic policy and Trump is a complete failure there. He’s a genuinely disgusting, amoral human being who has done incredible damage to the reputation of this country. We’re an international laughing stock for having elected someone so profoundly incompetent.

Macron is trying to push substantial EU reform, particularly around finance and how multinational technology companies are taxed in the EU's common market. Apple recently got slapped with a €13Bn fine by the EU for alleged sweetheart deals with Ireland.

Money is the only true religion.

It's jut hate, hate, hate with you people. Remember that Bush was stupid, LITERALLY HITLER and an international embarrassment (and also a war criminal). According to Joe Biden, Mitt Romney would have black people back in chains. According to the left, every Republican is evil and the sky is always falling. No wonder most people just ignore you these days.

Also, pretty sure a Rainbow Flag was unfurled at the Republican National Convention and Trump has a man crush on Pete Thiel.

This is not the 1980's Republican party, as much as the left tries to portray it as such.

He simply needs to stop being so terrible. But he can't help himself.
Sure guy. Again, fine to dislike him and disagree with his policies. But show me all the harm that has come from his presidency, except for butt hurt over a Hillary Clinton loss. And if the most you have is "Merkel is offended!" Fantastic. I don't really care what the EU or some tinpot dictator in Central American or warlord in Africa thinks.

I'm amazed not a single commenter figured out what was a huge slap in Trumps face by Apple: Lisa Jackson attending the dinner: she was the head of the EPA for the Obama administration. Meanwhile Scott Pruitt, Trump's EPA chief, known for favoring fossil fuel, pollution and his massive corruption was not invited. Considering Pres. Trump didn't invite any Dems (traditionally such dinners have Senators/Congressmen from both parties), Lisa Jackson was a double whammy at Trump. For those not getting what I'm talking about, here is the full guest list: https://www.nytimes.com/2018/04/24/us/politics/trump-macron-state-dinner-guest-list.html

My taxes have gone up as my allowable deductions have gone down. Shall I continue?

It's only a slap in the face if Trump cares. He's the President---he gives zero shakes of a rat's tail about corporate buffoon Lisa Jackson.

Solid economy. Lol. Trump kept spouting we werr sitting on a “big fat giant bubble” under Obama. Just wait until the collisiom of increased deficit + average growth come.
