Then I guess I’m the first. Make sure you alert the leader so they can kick me out because I don’t toe the fascist groupthink line.
Don't worry, the way the prez is trying to undo the rights of the LGBT community to serve in the military, you'll be out by policy.

My taxes have gone up as my allowable deductions have gone down. Shall I continue?
When the cuts to plebs like us expire in 8 years while the 1% and corporate tax cuts are forever....you'll have fodder to continue.

I read about this earlier, didn't know business people were invited though. I'm curious to taste Creme Fraiche Ice Cream.

2018 tax year I believe is when the new tax law starts to trickle in. Persona deductible will double, with tax brackets of 12% for income I believe 15K to 77K - that would be a huge saving. Low income will be taxed at 5%, higher income from 20%. In 2019 tax year, AHCA penalties will disappear (goodby state insurance co. monopolies)

He’s the duly elected president of these United States. 60 million Americans voted for him. Criticize someone when you feel someone is wrong, but the “all Trump all the time” focus of people on the left is insanity. You people are absolutely deranged. It’s truly mind boggling.

Let the CEO of the worlds biggest company dine at the White House without an analysis of ***** Donald Trump and all the hand wringing. Get a grip, people, please. Most of your lives have not changed one iota since the guy was elected.

Eh, it's the nature of politics. I had friends and family whipped up into a lather for 8 straight years that Obama was driving the country into a ditch every single day.

However, I would beg to differ that life hasn't changed one iota. You obviously don't have any friends or family who are impacted by this administration's VERY hard line against immigration, both legal or illegal. Or have any friends or family who are impacted by the changes made to destabilize the healthcare system and the potential loss of Medicaid coverage for a lot of folks. Or have freinds or family in the military who are dealing with a Commander in Chief who doesn't seem to have a strategy and a NSA who is very hawkish.

You must mean "STANDARD deductions will double". Because "PERSONAL exemptions" have been eliminated to compensate for this. It's not as much savings as you think.

I don’t see the lives of my countrymen affected, despite the incessant whining and cringing by a spoiled and privileged few and their media enablers. In fact, I see people keeping more of their paycheck, a solid economy, more jobs and the end of Isis.
End of Isis? My GF's $700 insurance premium due to the removal of key aspects of Obamacare? A solid economy? Racially motivated reasons for banning Muslims while we have weekly killing sprees carried out mainly by white people?

With a property tax bill above $20K and a new imposed cap at $10K, it’s a huge loss.

Well this thread is entirely off topic.

I think it’s good Cook went to the dinner. You can’t promote the changes you want by being ignorant of whoever is in power and shun them, that’s just childish. To persuade other people you must engage with them.

Typically I find Tim Cook as overly political for his role as CEO, which carries some risks. That said, eating dinner with you political opposition doesn’t have to be perceived as some sort of political statement either.

Tim Cook is CEO of a company that is on their way to becoming a trillion dollar company. I don't think he needs to give Trump the time of day, and Trump certainly doesn't deserve it. Sometimes what you don't do (like not going to the dinner at Trump's White House) is just as important as what you do. This is a missed opportunity to distance Apple from a swindler who is helping to bankrupt the country by enriching himself and his buddies through insane tax breaks, and bankrupting the morals of the country by his racist policies.
That's a poor approach for a company leader. And when your company suffers because of laws passed and regulations imposed, what do you do?

Used to be people disagreed but would still talk over their differences. Seems many here take the approach my way or the high way. A good reason why this country is so divisive now.

I guess Timmy needs President Trump more than President Trump needs Timmy.

That's all this is. grovelling.

It never surprises me that the right only cares about their own lives, never anyone or anything else.
I cannot roll my eyes hard enough. It never surprises me that we lack so much empathy that we try to see everyone on a different team in such a bad light. You need more diverse friends so you don't have such a narrow view of your fellow Americans.

It is my understanding that personal exemptions will double in 2018.

So any uncovering of the incestuous Obama administration we find in the next year... you're not okay with that.

Moderators are going to have to shut this thread down because it's going to get UGLY.

Tim makes some mobile phones and a small amount of computers

Trump controls the most powerful country on the planet and can launch nuclear weapons.

The two are not even comparable.
