Good point. By Steve doing that it showed us that he uses what we use and there was a connection. Tim doesn’t and it shows a disconnect of him to the company/products. We know he uses the products but he doesn’t connect us to him using them. That’s an important point.
Different styles. Tim is the glue in the new Apple style reveals and presentations. I personally like watching them.

Please show me in any post I have ever made here where I have said that I have wanted Apple to fail and then we'll go from there.
I already did. You already stated that Apple is being run into the ground despite the facts being otherwise. So next is, show me how Apple is being run into the ground. Simple. Let’s talk about actual facts instead of delusions.

Any people leaving Apple, or any company, there will always be "negative spins"

I don't believe the departure was anything but positive for Ive, as the reason he was leaving. Make sure the excuse you like (they'll probably be allot of 'em)

Here’s what happened, Tim put a lot of trust in Jony after he fired Scott Forstall. But Tim felt like he probably gave Ive a bit too much power: iOS 7 wasn’t a hit out the gate had major UI issues, 2013 Mac Pro which thermally designed itself into a thermal problem, the late arrival of the 2012 iMac; the Apple Watch first gen was pretty bad and waste in making a gold version without a clear vision of its intended purpose probably cost Apple a lot of money. Bend gate with iPhone 6 was probably another big one that probably pushed Tim into taking back some control.

Cool I believe felt like Jony was probably manipulating both him and the company in the wrong direction. I also think Cook felt like Jony could easily **** this up for everyone and decided that maybe it was best his energies put towards training new leadership, emeritus role, attending product launches and blessing products with narration.

This would at least give the impression to investors and users everything is ok.

To be honest, it’s a mess right now, because there isn’t that one voice reign things in and slap the operations and MBA when they try to weasel their way in.

Steve Jobs let Jony get away with some things consciously partly due to his love for him (G4 Cube, Hi-fi iPod,), but he knew when to tell him and the team you are losing the script.

I think that is what Jony truly yearns for and is missing at Apple: Vision, Guidance and Direction.

A bean counter and human rights activist jetting all over the world to collect awards and do speeches can’t give Jony that.

you are extremely close to the truth brother …

I'm confused. WSJ says Ive was disappointed that the iWatch failed and didn't become a cultural fashion icon. As stupid as I think the watch is, I see dozens of them each day on people's wrists. The hell is the WSJ smoking?

I'm guessing that Ive wanted the watch to be in the same rank as a collectable luxury watch, especially since it was unique in some abilities. Like other luxury/fashion watches, its exclusivity defines it. Its prevalence isn't important. In fact, that would make it seem common.

Like you, I have no love for it. It's a fine fitness/health accessory I imagine (if you think heart bpm still has value). Otherwise, it's another shackle to an increasingly pathetic "connected lifestyle".

I don't have an excuse, except to say that we can all go by our "feelings", versus first hand accounts of individuals that were interviewed in order to write the piece. It's obviously possible they gave bunk information, but there's a higher likelihood that they'd get it right than you or I looking in from the outside through about a thousand panes of glass.

If you recall, the same sort of "verbiage" came out of Apple when the Jobs biographies and biopics surfaced. Were they all bunk? Maybe. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Yet another thread where I get to come in and use this as proof that Cook needs to be fired. The WSJ reporter that Ive became dispirited over a new focus towards operations and less towards design. Makes sense.

Great design is what built Apple’s reputation and brand image, and under Cook’s leadership it has fallen away across all categories of their products, which is why their marketshare has declined and upgrades to devices are hitting all-time lows.

It isn’t that the devices last longer - it’s that they’re starting to suck, and have many problems and issues.

Tim Cook is not a visionary, and needs to be fired. It does not matter what the current stock price is. That is not a healthy metric of future success of a company.

None of what you said really matters along with most other opinions on him leaving. Why? Because Steve Jobs passed the reins over to Tim. It was Steve who made that decision and for that it would never be over turned. It was Steve’s wishes for Tim to take over.

You showed absolutely nothing.

Here is my original post:
"Uh no. We don't "loathe" Apple as you put it. Quite the contrary we LOVE Apple and hate the way it's being run into the ground by a bean-counter who care more about making himself known in parades and the SJW-circut than he does about making great products."

And your reply: "Do you live in the same dimension? Apple still has the same vision as before, and even though you wanted Apple to fail, they’re still doing great. I mean show me how Apple is being “run into the ground.”

One more time, show me, IN ANY POST THAT I HAVE EVER MADE, where I have said I WANT APPLE TO FAIL.

Calling the article "absurd" and that "... the conclusions, just don't match with reality..." is pretty much an outright denial as far as I can see.

That being said... while I have no reason to doubt Tim Cook, this rebuttal would have more weight if being made by Jony Ives himself. Of course that's just my opinion.

I believe the article also stated that Tim Apple Crook was not interested in design. I see nothing in his reply to deny that. Clearly he isn’t. The idiot was videotaped being given a public briefing describing the design of the new Mac Pro as if it was the first time he saw, and as if he were a senior citizen that knew nothing about computers.

Outside of his former job at Apple, under Steve Jobs, that idiot has down a lot of damage to Apple. Extremely overrated Ive needed to go and so does Tim Apple Crook.

Tim Apple Crook can be fired. Apple is a publicly traded company with a board that can oust him, which I predict will happen.

I dont believe Tim Cook for a second here. Honestly...he seems like a great guy, but he is in no way, shape or form the next Steve Jobs and never will be. He just doesnt strike me as a person who has the passion for design and innovation steve had.

So i totally get why Johny would want to leave and seemed to not care any more with apple because his partner Steve is gone and there is no one worthy for him to bounce design and ideas off of. Tim is just not that guy.

What they need there is another Rebel, another Steve Jobs who cares more about changing the world then making a profit!

He is not a great guy. He censors conservative speech, speech critical of Apple and and bans individuals who do so on Apple's platforms. That's the behavior of a fascist.

That rebel you are looking for is Scott Forstall, also known as mini Steve Jobs, who Tim Apple Crook fired. I predict Forstall, like Jobs, will one day return to run Apple.

The fact that you already assume Apple is being run into the ground WITHOUT providing ANY facts shows it all.
Again, let's talk facts instead of delusions. If that's hard, then good day to you.

Lol. So now you're changing from "wanting Apple to fail" to "assuming Apple is failing" & insults.

Welcome to the block list.

I don’t like a square watch, round is better and more ecstatically pleasing.

That’s nice, did Steve forsee the same phone design for 5 years? A notch design (which he would have never released), a $1,100 price tag (that he would have never approved) etc.? Steve is dead. And at the rate Tim is taking the company, so will Apple’s marketshare in 10 years. They are literally hemorrhaging upgrades and their customer loyalty base. Crappy keyboards on the laptops - USB C only - battery replacement issues on almost all devices...

But who cares, profits and stock are through the roof! Yeah, profits from higher levels prices and margins and stock because of the higher profits and margins.

Look at the marketshare charts. Look at the upgrade numbers. That’s what matters and that’s where the writing is on the walls.

Two things:

1. Stop reaching Steve through the ether,
2. Have you massively shorted the stock?

As if Tim would say the actual truth.

In the same vein, I too can argue that WSJ has not earned the right to have its reporting automatically be assumed to be true, at least with regards to Apple-related news. There has been quite a few prior examples of stories about Apple with faulty narratives and questionable reporting.

In the very least, I feel the sources need to go on record, rather than remain anonymous. I wonder if they compromise of software engineers who used to work under Scott Forstall, remain loyal to him, and resent the circumstances under which he was forced out. Hence the grudge they bear against Tim Cook and Jony Ive.

But I have absolute faith in the future of Apple.

I do not own any APPL stock and I don’t care to. I made a small killing on the early bitcoin days and sold ions ago. I care because Apple used to make the best products, had the best innovation. This is no longer the case, but it seems as if no matter what happens, even rumors of Ive saying it himself, can open any eyes. What else needs to happen? Why are any and all criticisms being pushed aside in favor of stock price? It’s the most bizarre thing. Defending declining marketshare and $1,000 monitor stands. It’s disheartening to see

Innovation is a personal moving definition. I still think they make the best products, but YMMV.

What else should happen? Apple should make $60B a quarter to show that market share means nada? Criticisms are easy. Positive, constructive, criticisms are tough. The entire Apple is failing but worth 1T doesn't really track.

And please, stop reaching through the ether to discuss Apple's business with Steve.

The general consensus in the industry and amongst long time Apple customers is that Apple doesn’t innovate anymore and their products, especially their laptops, are prone to failure. Feel free to continue having your personal moving definition of things. I guess life is easier that way for many today. Reality too tough.

General Consensus isn’t related to sergeant reality by any chance? With so many customers there are always going to be varied opinions. You can have any opinion you want about this topic, can’t prove it right or wrong.(or is my opinion = right)

So yeah, I have my personal moving definition same as you.

This is moronic. Cook just proved the article’s validity by putting the head of operations in charge of designers. Duh? How dumb are the people who don’t see this?

Also, for those who don’t believe that Ive has been absent and Cook doesn’t know design or product, did you not see the mouse where you have to charge it from the bottom. Or, how about the first Apple Pencil where you have to charge it by sticking it on the end? Does anyone who knows anything would seriously believe that Steve would have approved those designs? Seriously? He would have cursed out the idiot who came up with it if not outright fired the idiot.

Again reaching Steve through the ether.

You didn't "have to" charge it that way at all. It came with a male to female lightning connector that allowed you to charge it on the end of any $2 lighting cable. You could charge it that way though, ridiculously quickly, if you didn't have the connector at hand. I guess facebook memes > reality now though, right?
