Tim Cook has taken on and suceeded in filling Steve Jobs shoes. He has taken the company to new heights ($$3 trillion valuation). New products coming out will confirm his success
His $100 million 2021 salary is well deserved

Haven’t really heard any rumours about who will takeover for Cook once he decides to walk away and swim in his millions.

Is there a front runner? I recall talk of Cook well before Jobs left the role.
Maybe Craig?

At least his jokes at presentations craig me up.

I’d not think anybody can say Tim Cook is underpaid without a tongue firmed planted in their cheek. Apple have large profit margins on everything they sell and although we get fantastic products, we make executives like Cook disproportionately rich as a result. No, Tim Cook is not underpaid and when you look at some of the worlds leading doctors/scientists working hard to save lives on a fraction of what he earns, it certainly adds an extra level of perspective.

What perspective? He's not paid disproportionately. He's leading the world's largest company on earth. Doctors and nurses are not. He's worth every penny he's being paid by Apple. Whether or not doctors and nurses should be paid more is irrelevant to the point (and yes I agree they should be paid more, but again ... irrelevant). If you create a product or products that the entire planet uses, you should be making a lot of money. Period.

dont think he deserves that much. he’d probably be getting way more if he wasn’t trying to avoid taxes.

disgusting amount of money.

Great Job , means their kicking a$$$. Do you know how many Watch bands Tim can buy with that kinda dough! Well deserved and well done.

I was going to write something whimsical, like, ”I’d be happy with the ’.7M’ part of the 98.7m”. Then I thought - right now, .1M would be just lovely. Then I started breaking it down, now thinking that Tim Cook might read this, find it a little cute, and whimsically just send me the money! I figured that 30k would be all I’d ever ask for to get out of the covid debt, and sort my future out. Stop the sleepless nights, stop the anxiety about money.
The point is that to most people, this is a crazy amount of money that is impossible to comprehend. Some of us are just hanging on, and while it no doubt comes across as jealous, it’s perhaps more painful or desperate than that.

Being an artist, or a creative person, is not always the route to riches that it could be.
Getting a break, selling some photography, getting a leg-up, just getting paid what you’re worth. All pale into insignificance when I read about the 98.7m dollars paycheck.
Bitter? Me?

Regardless of how much he gets paid, and whether it is too little or too much, any CEO that can grow the size of any company 10 fold in 10 years is doing an awesome job.

I agree someone leading a successful company like Apple should be paid a lot, but we’ll have to agree to disagree on the obscene amount in question. It’s up to Apple though of course, just sharing my equally valid opinion on the matter. Cheers.

Tim Cook for Pres.
That would actually be a downgrade!
Official presidential salary being $400K.

On a more serious angle: Granted that practically speaking he would live spending $0 a day and getting most things at the speed of thought… however it’s a life of being juggled around with a constant security detail glued to him, being harassed incessantly to make decisions on topics thousands of times a day, the reporters, the political parties, the opposition’s political party, travel/visit/talk here or there, etc etc
Definitely a downgrade
