These kinds of posts really bother me. Should the entire world wait until every American who feels entitled has received their iPhone before they become available in other countries?

I'm from Southern California so I know the personality types that feel they 'need' their new shiny phone, but you can wait. Just curious, how would you determine which countries 'need' the phone the most?

Thank you. Just what I was thinking. Nobody "needed" the phone most. I'm lucky that I live in the US, and that I got mine on launch day. And I didn't order it until Saturday afternoon. But the arrogance of those who would devalue someone else's chance of getting one for their own self interest is pretty disgusting.

To those non-US citizens on this board: My apologies at the selfish arrogance of some of my fellow US citizens. I believe you all deserve your iPhone as soon as possible.

Except for Ireland. You guys suck... (Just kidding!!)

It's hard to believe this caught Apple "Off-guard". If so, whom ever is in charge of production should be demoted. Completely amateur and not representative of a company ranked 5 in the Fortune 500.

Wow. Are you one of the people who laugh at companies who have stock building up in warehouses?

I ordered an iPhone 6 Plus (64gb Space Grey) through AT&T the same day they were released and my expected ship time is 11/21/2014 to 12/03/2014.

Bull ****.

Oh poor you, I preordered on the 12th and have an estimated ship date of Nov 9-27th........

Yeah, it would be hard to take a survey like that but I know a few older friends and family members that switched to Android because the bigger screens were easier for them to read and was less stress on their eyes.

true to that...i've met some people who were like that too.

But then again you shouldn't complain too loudly when you have engineered yourself the most cyclical revenue stream after Xmas trees...

Oh YES! OF COURSE!

Tim Cook told everyone in China to stop manufacturing iPhones while he told the world how successful the iPhone 6 was!

Honestly, I wonder if people even THINK before posting here.

Well of course, as an American you are gonna say that. You guys get it first:rolleyes:

American company produces something that the US gets first, SHOCKER.

Bull ****.

I set my alarm for 3AM EDT and ordered mine with in-store pickup. Picked it up just before lunch on launch day after a 30 minute wait in line. Sure beats the heck out of waiting in line for...

No wait, scratch that! Sleep in late on pre-order day and wait in line for a week in advance. That's the only way to get one on launch day.

I for one, and I know plenty of others, couldn't care less about the iphone 6, and this is the demographic that Apple should cherish. We're not buying an Android phone, but the iphone 5 is more appealing for many reasons. Someone said it well in another post, that Apple is in danger of entering a "Fat Elvis era" I'm hoping that phrase catches on.

Complete BS.

IIRC several months ago there were rumors that the Plus was not even going to ship at the same time and would be delayed until early next year - some rumors about trouble sourcing enough of the screens or something like that.

So they may have expected the demand, but knew from the beginning that they couldn't meet it, so chose to ship what they could in September rather than building inventory for next year.

Ok I must be one of the lucky ones. I walked into a busy Apple retail store 1 week after launch and asked a rather busy salesperson if they had any 6's in stock. He asked me which one I wanted, and within 10 minutes I left with a new iPhone 6. No rushing, waiting, standing in line, or hassle. My only waits were 1) waiting to talk to the salesperson, and 2) waiting for my new phone to be delivered from the stock room.

From the boardroom "What happened to production? Well sir, oops. <laugh> We completely underestimated the demand. All of our focus groups pooh poohed the phone, so we decided to make a limited run"

Complete BS.

How long ago was it the apple fans were calling big phones clown phones that only a few android fans would buy

Totally get you, luckily - I'm from the UK, so perhaps we'll always be in the first rollout. But, with pre-orders coming up to 10 Million in China, I just feel like (whilst I have no knowledge [obviously] about stock and where it goes and when) but those 10 Million could perhaps stay in the original roll out to catch up some what.

I see both sides, and I suppose you can't keep everyone happy.

I see what you're saying, but I would hope orders are shipped on a first pre-order, first serve basis. But I wouldn't want Apple to hold back from rolling out in other countries to allow others to start pre-ordering.

Obviously Apple will want to serve their biggest markets first but I think it's exciting to see an American company do so well in new markets.

What you needed to do, Apple, was to start producing at least 3 months ahead...NOT ONE MONTH.

You just changed the whole dynamic of manufacturing, Steve Cook.

Maybe that would make the phone "older" though in the sense that they can be designing and engineering for a longer period before starting production if they don't start way ahead of launch.

And they would never want to produce too many so that it would appear that they weren't a hot commodity. I love Apple but, let's face it, the lines would be shorter if people knew they could just stroll in and buy one or order online a few days after the crowds die down. Just in time manufacturing principles also.

Those coming from an Android phone or anything before an iPhone 4 should get priority. I'm pretty happy with my 4S. I'm holding out for now :D

Luckily I was able to find a 128GB iPhone 6 in my local Tmobile store last week. Otherwise my online order had an estimated ship date of 11/21.

Really curious to see how many 6 and 6 Plus Apple will have sold by the end of Q4.

6Plus, 128gb

Hi. I ordered my phone on Sept. 17/2014, and I am still getting a 3-4 week status through Bell. I paid for the phone at my Bell Mobility/World store, and was told it would take 2-3 weeks to get my phone. I found out today that I will be person #4, in Canada, to receive my phone. This must be from Bell only. I guess I have to be patient. My poor 4S is struggling to keep a charge and my new phone can't come soon enough.
