Because - speaking as a Canadian who once had to wait - it's annoying as hell when we have to wait while other countries get it first.

Another valid point. - Maybe they should just ramp up production straight away. No doubt they will with the 6S and the 6 Plus S (man, I hope that term isn't used).

Less design changes, more software no doubt. Hopefully they'll ramp up production pretty quick!

Why care about supply and demand when you got manufacturing problem ?

The freaking screen is just terrible with uneven backlight and terrible yellow tint on top for most of the iPhone 6.

The quality this time is just ridiculously bad, and the design is just not feel like Apple anymore.

Anyone who thinks Apple likes people to wait 4 weeks for their phone is just silly. Its the engineering, manufacturing rampup that takes up most of the time. Also, producing 50M phones, tying up 15B in inventory (not producing your other phones in the process!!) seems a bit idiotic. The fact that they're able to manufacture and ship 80-100M phones in 4 months is just incredible as is.

I think you're taking my comments WAY too seriously. Look at the history of my comments. I am a major Apple cheerleader. And stop the name-calling people. So much rage on these forums sometimes.

Did you say something so... Idiotic? Really?

BTW, my Canon G16 bought last year is just 12MP and that's a full fledge camera with a sensor 10 times bigger and optics... Well, much much better than the one on the Iphone and all other Smart Phone cameras. It must sure suck worse than that 40MP Nokia 1020 then...

I'll let you guess which one sucks more in this case, the 1020, some random 20MP Samsung or Sony smart phone or the poor 12MP camera...

Maybe you need to open up a camera and physics book so you can actually make sense next time.

You're nasty. Please stop calling people names.

I ordered an iPhone 6 Plus (64gb Space Grey) through AT&T the same day they were released and my expected ship time is 11/21/2014 to 12/03/2014.

Bull ****.

Weird. I ordered a 6+ late September with an arrival date of 10/21. Fedex dropped it at my home on 10/10.

I was surprised. BTW, this thing is the PERFECT size.

Trying to scare people from buying Apple products just doesn't work. People see right through it, but Samsung keeps paying people to scare people on message boards.

...most? I think this is the first time I've seen this complaint. (And my 6 is fine, but I know that's not a valid statistic to reference.)

May I ask why you think this?

You're not going to see a change this massive from one generation to the next again. We have people going from 3.5"/4" phones to 4.7"/5.5" phones. Huge, huge difference.

Can't really hate you for this. Samsung must be writing you a nice check every week. Don't blame ya a bit.

Wow I got lucky.

I walked into my Sprint store about 3 minutes away to take advantage of their iPhone for Life plan and my wife got the iPhone 6 16 GB while I was able to get an iPhone 6+ 128 GB. They only had the white/silver avaliable so I took it and wow, after only 1 full day of using the 6+ I am amazed. I'll have more in depth thoughts on it after I've used it for at least a week but going from an iPhone 5 this thing is truly amazing.

Ok I must be one of the lucky ones. I walked into a busy Apple retail store 1 week after launch and asked a rather busy salesperson if they had any 6's in stock. He asked me which one I wanted, and within 10 minutes I left with a new iPhone 6. No rushing, waiting, standing in line, or hassle. My only waits were 1) waiting to talk to the salesperson, and 2) waiting for my new phone to be delivered from the stock room.

This is not funny.

A month later and I still don't have the 6 plus i ordered. I work in online retail, and if we ever made someone wait a month for a product that expensive, we would be getting chewed out every day until it ships. Though we're not Apple... :(

You see that big dip in quarterly revenue/earnings after Q1 every year? that would be a perfect time to launch an iPhone6 in the 4 inch formfactor, for the large part of the market that wants a new phone but does not want one bigger than 4". Add the A8, update the styling to match the 6, and make it a little thicker than the 6 to keep the battery life good enough, and you'll sell a lot of phones to users who are on different subsidy cycles and want a smaller model.

My iPhone 6 Plus crashes at least once a day and freezes on occasion but it's still the best iPhone hands down.

iWork alone is making the 6 Plus better than my Note 2 . . . . . although the Note 2 was far more stable.

I went to a Target and picked up a 16GB iPhone 6 Plus on launch day. They had the 64GB and 128GB in other carriers but not Sprint.

I ordered the 128GB I wanted and it came two weeks later. Gave the 16GB to the mother in law.

Called a "comment" idiotic and another one silly... Please read what I wrote, not what you think I wrote. Notice I didn't say the people were idiots or silly. At most, I call some people trolls (there are dozens such here, easy to prove, just look at their whole post history over years).

"It is worth noting that the iPhone 6 has been mostly available at Apple's own stores and other retail locations,"

REALLY????

10 days ago I went to a local T-Mobile, out of 4 stores in the area this one had a few 16GB, and one other store had a few 16GB, none had larger GB, none had 6+, half had some 5s. I'm waiting for iPhone 6 64GB, and, they gave me a 16GB, said they "should" get a 64GB in within 14 days, in at least one of the 4 stores, and they will waive restocking fee (store mgr).

Since then they have not gotten any iPhones of any kind in yet. (no 5s/6/6+ at all).

I sure as hell hope one comes in before my 14 days are up!

Am I not remembering correctly, or were they caught up with demand for 5s by this time last year?

Wow, Tim Cook speaks the obvious as I wait over a month for a 6+ 64GB!!

As a huge Apple fan I'm not happy how obviously Apple rushed the 6 out and writing a check their butts couldn't cover. They had might as well release the watch and back order it 6 months. Not very smart!

If Americans wanted to get their iPhones earlier they should have lined up for them like the Chinese :)

If supply is so tight, then why have there been multiple stores with them in stock? Tim take care of your pre order customers FIRST, absolutley obsurd that others and myself are waiting for preorders from 9/19 and prior but there has been stock in my locale apple store.
If you've been waiting for over a month why not just cancel your order and get one straight from the store?

You are not remembering correctly. My new iPhone 5S, ordered launch day, arrived by mail on November 10.

Faulty memory's a bitch. Can make you believe things are totally different than they actually are. Best to verify first.

Oh, ****, I hope I'm not stuck with this 16GB iPhone, crap, so tired of 16GB iOS devices, always full, having to take stuff off to put something new on.
