But why would she need more money?

Sorry, I am not from the USA so I might be missing something.

She doesn't. It's more of a financial endorsement than anything else. It's saying, "Apple supports Hillary", without saying it. That way, anyone with a brain, who hasn't been brainwashed by the dumbocrats and rebooblicans, and/or is voting on SJW emotions, won't boycott Apple.

I agree but this personal thing that he is doing...not as a company. So he could do whatever he wants.

It's not personal. He's a public figure and CEO of one of the biggest corporations in the world. In his position, when he says "I support Hillary", it means "Apple supports Hillary". It's the same reason why America's "precious" movie stars and singers make or break careers based on political views. It's all a mind game. We are the goyim. They keep us fed and entertained, while subliminally telling us what to do and how to think.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

IT'S A MIND GAME PEOPLE! You have to pay to play and time is money.

The presidency is a service, not a prize. They put all of their time and resources, and other people's resources into chasing this prize, and when they are "nominated", they say "I accept your nomination", as if they were going to turn it down. "I accept your nomination" is a term for a person who wishes to sacrifice themselves to a service, FOR THE PEOPLE.

They have speech writers. People who groom them. It's like a play, and they are the actors. Who the hell in their right mind wants a president who can't write their own speeches? We haven't had one in century. They speak from the text, not from the heart.

Last night, when Hillary was speaking to her daughter, instead of looking at her daughter and speaking TO her, she read from the text, while looking around the room at the crowd. It was void of sincerity;

sin·cer·i·ty
sinˈserədē/
noun
  1. the quality of being free from pretense, deceit, or hypocrisy.

SO, is this a good thing? No. Trump, or Hillary, it's the same **** in the same toilet that's sucking America down, and some of you are just helping to piss it away.

Good why fundraise Trump he can do everything on his own but he can't even read crime rate statistics he goes with FEELINGS because magic is the way. I lol at Trump supporters they think Hillary is the biggest criminal in politics (I guess Bush war crimes should not matter he's Republican), but remember Trump is Business Man who takes advantage of people he doesn't care about Americans as long as he has more power and has a huge delusional ego.

I wonder why he fears to show his tax returns maybe Melania Trump should show her birth certificate.

"Apple CEO Tim Cook plans to host a fundraiser that will benefit Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton, reports BuzzFeed. Cook, along with Lisa Jackson, Apple's vice president of environment, policy, and social initiatives, will host the event as private citizens, not as representatives of Apple."

Two comments:

  1. A person is not a job and a job is not a person.
  2. I take it, then, that those expressing indignation above (perhaps in the mistaken belief that Cook is doing this in an official capacity of his position at Apple), that you oppose the Citizens United vs FEC verdict?
EDIT: somebody be me to too it about point #2. :(

Sorry, I am not from the USA so I might be missing something.

Because Presidential campaigns are very expensive. They buy lots of advertising on TV, radio, internet etc which is not cheap. It is basically why only super rich or well connected people can ever be president now.

Stick to business Apple. Pisses me off that they even are going anywhere near politics. I think America needs to take a year off and try again for new nominees. Man this really is not what I wanted to read today.

I guess you didn't read the article? He's doing this as a private citizen and not as "officially" representing Apple. Kind of like how you (anyone) can organize a fundraiser or volunteer for a candidate and not officially represent the company you work for.

It really pisses me off that the money I spend on Apple products is getting funneled to a corrupt lying socialist political hack. I just spent close to $3K last night at Apple on a new MBP for my daughter, headed back to college.... which by the way we are paying for out of pocket.

I don't know why business leaders, entertainers, etc. can't keep their political views out of their business.

Please, Timmy, stay away from politics. Specially from that lying b****.

* I'm not voting for Trump either.

Mark my words, people will blindly complain about this post. What they lack, is the sight to see from the bottom up. People just look at the tip of the spear these days. Never mind the mechanics behind the machine.
