Did the Koch Brothers switch sides

They probably should.

I have come to the conclusion that if I continue to read various election/candidate threads on this forum, and irresistibly reply to some/all of them, I will undoubtedly lose my mind.

With this in mind, I have decided to compose a post which, although it will most definitely lead to my permanent ban, will let me express my basest uncensored feelings concerning g some of the members of this forum.

Let me start with the Trump supporters. F^U^C^K^I^N^G M^O^R^O^N^S, all of them. How they can hear the absurd babble from Trump’s mouth, and still want to see him in the Oval Office, amazes me.

Let me totally insure my ban by naming them.

@FieldingMelish, @thewitt, @tgara, @maxsix, et al.

You are incredibly stupid, stupid, stupid.

Then there is the moron child @Hieveryone. I can’t decide if he is simply a frustrated 13 year old who enjoys posting assorted S^H^I^T, or has actually reached adulthood and is, to use a severely un-PC term, simply retarded. I can’t decide.

One last shout out to @vrDrew. You are the dullest human being on earth.

And @jkcerda. Still love you. When will @Renzatic be back?

I know that Jobs and his wife would show up to Democratic events sometimes, but they never took such an active role before, did they?

This decision makes me less likely to buy Apple's future products, if Apple ever decides to actually release products worth buying again (which I'm starting to think they won't...)

Um, look up Apple doing things for that big-time liberal Paul Ryan. Note Ryan is not a liberal. He's playing both sides.

And, as customers or employees or otherwise, um, yes, it does affect the person you referred to and everyone else who uses Apple's products.
You failed to answer the question.

Because he doesn't care about Apple.

All he cares about is money and getting as rich as possible. The evidence has been building up over the past five years. The Mac has been abandoned. Hardware in general has been neglected. He has made it a priority to turn Apple into a soapbox for his political agenda, something which has nothing to do with Apple, and only serves to detract focus from the lack of innovation at Apple.

If he really cares about the future of Apple, he should come here to MacRumors and post a response to my post. Convince me that Steve Jobs didn't make a terrible mistake, Tim. I'm here to listen.
Actually, supporting Hillary is good for Apple. Investors are deathly scared of Trump becoming president. Seriously, it will ruin the economy. That's why supporting her is good for business.

If you think she is needing money you show how little you know. She is illegally funded by some of the richest, most diabolical people in the world...

I couldn't care less what you think of a politician, but you clearly have no idea of how campaigns are funded. A candidate rarely uses his/her OWN money and when they do its usually a "loan" to the campaign that has to be repaid in the future.

Few people are willing to put up $1 billion of their own money to never recoup it even if they win the election and that is what it costs to run a Presidential campaign in the USA now.

How is calling for a foreign country to hack a presidential nominee not controversial?! Everything he says is controversial.

It was a joke that was readily apparent to most people. Most I've spoken to, even some liberals, thought it was funny. Not you it seems. You should be more outraged at Hillary storing classified emails on a personal server, and deleting tens of thousands of them she felt weren't important to turn over. You should be more outraged she was treated differently (privileged, some might say) from anyone else who would have been in that situation.

Rock-N-Roll!

Hillary%20the%20hippie.jpg

^ Smoke that from an Apple pipe. ;) Hippies stick together and if Steve Jobs was still alive, he would approve.

All I hear from Trump's campaign is TALK, TALK, TALK. Crooked Hillary! Trolling on Twitter. ELITIST TALK full of hatred. Then say if Donald was elected, what next? Spends one-third of his presidency like George W did vacationing? Where to? The Hamptons? While the country crumbles.

What people don't really get is right-wingers tried to destroy the Clintons because of Bill's infidelity the moment he ran for office. Imagine if JFK was still alive? Yet, Billary are still together. Hillary could easily have divorced Bill by 2001 like Al and Tipper did after 40 years. She could easily disappear from the limelight like other First Ladies did. Barbara and Laura didn't do jack during or after. Jackie Kennedy became the biggest gold digger once Jack was assassinated. Hillary is a senior citizen and grandmother. At 68, should be retired. I still see her busting her *** being a Senator and Secretary of State. While I watch Obama work on his golf swing in Hawaii and not care.

My previous posts about Hillary was about LOVE and HARD WORK. They go hand in hand. You can't just be in love and not put any work into the relationship. Not go through the trials and tribulations. Maybe the narrative is a little different because Billary were still young back then. Bill will turn 70 next month. People evolve and change. Mike Tyson changed and he is only 50. Maybe less sex jokes. This was in the 1990's. Can people just let that go? He's a grandpa now. Can Americans forgive? Hillary did.

Implementation > Policy > Communication > Personal Life

But haters want to see it reversed. Personal lives matter more to them than policy and performance. They want to see the superficial and then crack jokes. We don't know what their relationship is really like. But that's their business. Bill only took 174 days of vacation time during his eight years while George W vacationed more than the Griswalds and Obama's fam vacations more lavishly than the Kardashians.

Hillary could've been useless like the Bush wives and Jackie O after her First Lady term was over. Divorce Bill and take half his money like the $150M Juanita got from Michael Jordan. She keeps pushing herself to work. To make changes, you have to work hard. A 68-year old woman still busting her *** out there. For a guy who is rich, talk is cheap, Donald.

Bill & Hillary, proving that LOVE CONQUERS ALL.

It is true that Tim will host this as personal thing and not as part of Apple. EXCEPT without being the CEO of Apple, no one would have ever known him or come to his little party. There are a lot of business leaders that do this sort of thing, not just Tim. But I pretty much don't like it. It sends signals to the population that the company you run is somehow connected with your personal views (hmmm... why would some think that?). And that in turn means that you alienate a group of potential customers. Bad business I say.

Some on here haven't heard of two things: Lobbying and 'free time' - you know, to do as you please. Not sure I could spend every minute of every day at work, but good for you if you are happy.

Listen... Nobody, NOBODY thought it was a joke. When you are running for the highest office in the land you need to watch what you say. He is unfit to take a tour of the White House much less reside there. As for the emails... I can't believe people are so mislead to think this is still an issue. It was 3 emails which even the FBI admit weren't even marked as classified. That's it. There is nothing there.

I see someone has drank the cool-aid.

Dude this private email server has no meat. If it did then there would have been real charges filed.
Innocent until proven guilty.

Good for Tim. Can we at least get a special edition Hilary watch band? I would be fine as long as it is not exclusive for an Apple store in Brazil.

Would it come in orange or black and white stripes?

Not much of a fan of Hillary but she's at least better than Trump.

Who told you that, the media? Because everything the media tells you is trustworthy and believable.

Interesting. I guess Tim doesn't have a problem with Hillary taking BIG $ from countries that are super anti-LGBT and anti women.

Good why fundraise Trump he can do everything on his own but he can't even read crime rate statistics he goes with FEELINGS because magic is the way. I lol at Trump supporters they think Hillary is the biggest criminal in politics (I guess Bush war crimes should not matter he's Republican), but remember Trump is Business Man who takes advantage of people he doesn't care about Americans as long as he has more power and has a huge delusional ego.

I wonder why he fears to show his tax returns maybe Melania Trump should show her birth certificate.

I lol at Clinton supporters that can watch side by side views of her lies followed by Comey telling the truth behind that lie, one after the other. And then she brushed it off as a mistake? How we all watched her lie about Benghazi, how they all ask about Trump's tax releases, but nobody asks about the transcripts of Hillary's $153 MILLION Wall Street speeches, Clinton Foundation scandals, Whitewater.....and then we talk about Bush's war crimes....would that be the war Hillary voted for in Senate? This woman and her husband have been involved in controversy, investigations, scandals, indictment hearings impeachment, perjury, and 1 thing after another for over 30 years straight and lemmings....er....supporters blindly follow. Curious, do you seriously believe Clinton is running because she cares about the country? Her speech last night said she will be a 3rd Obama term, AND she will be a change agent....which is it? Change or more of the same?

I've got a friend that will never buy an iPhone again if he reads this news. :)

He quit eating Heinz ketchup because of who John Kerry was married to.

It really pisses me off that the money I spend on Apple products is getting funneled to a corrupt lying socialist political hack. I just spent close to $3K last night at Apple on a new MBP for my daughter, headed back to college.... which by the way we are paying for out of pocket.

I don't know why business leaders, entertainers, etc. can't keep their political views out of their business.

And this is why enormous public figures should not take sides. You risk alienating 1 side or the other.

Because everybody hates Republicans.

We all need to band together to fight this menace.

Narcissistic much? You hate them so EVERYBODY hates them because everybody thinks like you? The menace is people that believe everything they hear and read, and then base their opinions on that.

Here is the funny thing. He had the Apprentice which was a highly successful show which enjoyed extremely high ratings, earned him a lot of fans. He was a very positive figure in the public eye, the example of a success story in America. Then he runs for politics, and all of a sudden he is a liar, a failure, a con artist, he got all his money from his father, etc.

There seems to be this new mindset in America, we root for success until it happens, and then we do our best to knock em down. The rich must pay their "fair share." I used to believe that until the question came up of what is considered rich? The top 8th earners of the country are considered rich. So for arguments sake if my wife were a nurse making $65K and I were a cop making $70K (We aren't and we're not) our combined income of $135K has us in that top 8% and makes us rich. Woo hoo! So therefore after Federal and state taxes, Social Security, Disability, the new regular monthly payment of over $800 per month for Health Insurance, Property Taxes, sales taxes, sin taxes, our fair share would be about 75% of our income. Does that sound about right? This country is getting frightening.

Cook will be criticized for it- fairly or unfairly- because he's CEO of Apple. But I agree that he can personally support whoever he wants to support, it's his choice, and he's not acting on behalf of the company.

Not shocking either, considering he's a Silicon Valley CEO.

Never understood why american politicians ask for donations so openly. Just as strange to me as when i hear about US colleges doing it. In fact it should be illegal. Those fundraisers sound like the fancy word for bribe

So how do you want colleges to fund things like research and construction? Want to lump all those billions into student tuition?

you didn't read close enough. Tim Cook is doing this as a private citizen. There is no Apple involvement.

For better or worse, when you're the CEO of one of the largest, most powerful organizations globally, there isn't really much of an off-the-clock disconnect.

Do you think Tim would be throwing a fundraiser for her if he was a part time fast food worker?

neither works great here. When i heard that a friend keeps getting calls from his uni in the us well after graduation i was like wtf and that after spending so much money for tuition. They had the nerve to call again to ask if he would like to double his donation. They would get some great laughs here

Good for him! I don't care how many gays have to die, how many women raped and belittled or how many innocents slaughtered going about their daily business; there is no price too great for the great cultural enrichment diversity brings us.

Thank Moloch (Hillary's patron deity) that the new POTUS will increase immigration from some of the most multicultural places on the planet.
