RIP Steve , you are missed.
Tim, stop using "courage" like it's the new cool buzz word in 2016.

I like to think that he would be on the front lines of the "battlefield" and not hanging back, strategizing in his tent.
The man was brilliant.
I know a lot of people criticize what Apple is doing now, but a lot of Steve's beliefs are still around today. I see this video and immediately think of the removal of the headphone jack-
R.I.P. Steve.
There were times when I find myself wondering what would Apple be like in 2016 if he was still at the helm.
I miss him every time I watch a keynote. He was so charismatic on stage, and although he made mistakes like everyone the best products came with him as a CEO.
Show some respect, Desmond.
Come on now. If you read what I was responding to, it should be clear that my point was about people saying - "if Steve was here this would never have happened." To use your example, no one says If so and so were still president or if MLK were still alive things would be different. I have no issue paying homage to someone you feel is great, but trying to resurrect them is a totally different issue. You're right. We should also do away with President's Day, Memorial Day, MLK Day and any mention of people who have changed the world, but have died. No sense in paying homage to people who are no longer alive.
R.I.P. Steve.

Not trying to take anything away from Jobs, regardless of what he has done or not, but I feel like Tim & Co just milk his memory for business purposes every year.
Totally disagree with your narrow vision, Apple has innovated more than you can tell on the hardware and software if you cannot see that after 5 years without Steve Jobs and conference after conference for developers and products then there is nothing else I can do.I wonder what he would make of the way Apple is run today and how Apple constantly fails to innovate year after year?
if you knew about Steve Jobs and Apple you would know that courage is a word user by Steve Jobs there is a specifice interview in which Steve Jobs used courage to move forward and do what others wont.that wasn't tim.
Call me cynical, but in business there are no friends. What a silly statement. Does remembering their FRIEND (yes, they WERE friends, if you recall) somehow drive iPhone sales?
besides relfecting the obvious, Steve Jobs choose Tim for a reason if you cannot see it nothing I can doTim Cook, You are no Steve Jobs.
I miss his keynotes
The iPhone 4 one is the stuff of legend.
in your way of thinkinking there are no friends but you cannot tell something you were not part of and since you were not part of the close circle of Steve Jobs friends then is unlikely that you will ever know.Call me cynical, but in business there are no friends.
If you want to play "you don't know what they're thinking"...in your way of thinkinking there are no friends but you cannot tell something you were not part of and since you were not part of the close circle of Steve Jobs friends then is unlikely that you will ever know.
OK, and your point is? Tim Cook was choosen by Steve try to remember that.Tim Cook, You are no Steve Jobs.
You're not wrong. But I can honestly almost guarantee this wouldn't be a topic if it wasn't also a headline...Let it go folks. If Steve were alive, he would probably have done things different. Sure.... But he's dead, and we need to accept that.
I didn't view this is disrespectful. It's from a direct quote cook said about Steve (and in the body of the article we are commenting on). A little peculiar the courage seems to be a new favorite of his. In any case this is less a comment about Steve and more about Tim.Show some respect, Desmond.
Miss Steve.
He light a fire under your ass if you didn't get the job done. Feel like Apple is going to get complacent.
