Apple CEO Tim Cook Should Be Replaced, Research Firm Says

You have to make up your mind. Either you claim that Apple will continue to grow at a significant rate (and for whatever reason conclude that all other arguments are irrelevant)
Or you take the view that Apple isn't even aiming for growth.
This is not only obviously wrong, but also reveals a lack of knowledge about economics and business management.
Let me put it more simply:
The Mac's market share is around 14%. It hasn't changed in five years. And it remains insignificant.
Yes, growth may be insignificant for you as an end customer.
But not for shareholders.
That's because at that time, personal computers, mobile phones, and tablets were in their infancy back then. They're all very mature now.
It's much much easier starting from ground zero. And having a ton of help from the real pioneers. Jobs was exposed to computers with mice and graphical user interfaces taking a tour of nearby Xerox PARC's (Palo Alto Research Center) lab and SRI's mouse (invented by Doug Engelbart). If it weren't for that exposure Apple would likely not have introduced the Mac when they did.
If it weren't for Apple and Jobs working closely with Motorola cellular phone engineers (who wrote the book on cellular telephony re Martin Cooper) developing the Rokr (which flopped, BTW), there would not have been iPhone at that point in time. Apple could not have pulled that off by themselves at that time having zero experience in that field (which is extraordinary complex (speaking from personal experience). Tablets, being invented and developed by Grid Systems and RAND (the real pioneers), made it easy for Apple to enter that space.
I'm not saying real innovation is dead... It's just much much more difficult now that the products that Apple and other computer/phone/tablet companies make are now very mature.

No it won't..... as AI replaced thousands of jobs putting millions out of work, government will soon step in as it sees its tax income fall dramatically. There is a given. And don't tell me Ai won't replace jobs, if course or will as it means more profits. And if everyone retrained to work in Ai then the market would be flooded.
Ai has been sold as the latest buzz word when really it's just about automating as much as companies can to cut costs, increase profits. Capitalism.
As for Cook, he will go at some point, if the shares drop more it's up to the share holders to get rid of him though.
However despite my opinions on Ai it is quite obvious Apple is waaaaaaaaay behind the industry on it. So much so they've had to rely on a competitors product to fill the gaps.

20 or 30% of all Microsoft code now written by Ai with a target of 50% by 2030 I think. But they have laid of tens of thousands over the last 2 or 3 years.
Cook has been a problem for Apple for ages. Yeah, money is coming in but 2025 Apple is like 1999 Microsoft. No ideas. No innovation. No creativity. The embodiment of what Steve Jobs used to hate.
The weird thing is, If you watch some of his earlier keynotes, he actually seemed to have a personality back then. The problem is, especially since the post COVID video keynotes, he's clearly been to the same media training school as all the other 55 presenters on the Apple keynote videos these days, and they all look and sound the same. It seems to be the one thing in AI that they've actually pioneered on, making their presenters look AI generated.
You have to wonder why Tim himself wants to still be the CEO of Apple. Surely he's at the age where he himself wants to retire and let someone else deal with Apple now.
And on a completely unrelated note, CEO Tim Cook should be replaced by either of LightShed Partners' analysts, whether it's Walter Piecyk or Joe Galone.
Well, it hasn't yet met his expectations. The Vision Pro might become Tim Cook's Moby Dick.
I couldn't be less interested in AU, but completely agree that Cook should have been gone ages ago. He's a bean counter with zero vision.
SO, because the marketing team promoted alpha software tim cock should be replaced... let me break it down for you guys.
They clearly have no idea how apple's ecosystem of software, hardware and services has skyrocketed since 2011... and even more, they clearly have NO idea of the uniqueness engineering and focus ONLY apple have in order to create those highly highly integrated devices.

it's sabotage what he allowed to happen to macos.
put someone else in place that understand that what macos needs is fixing ..
about all the shortcomings it accumulated over the years of negligeance,
and revert many of the nonsense restrictions imposed on users.
- make macos able to fully boot from external hard disk.
- implement interoperability with other OSes, like supporting ext4 and ntfs filesystems
- allow users to customize their UIs.. like the flavors app used to do before the restrictions.
- allow users to choose the font they want to use in the system.
- make translation layer for opengl and vulkan to metal
- have macos go on a diet (100gb is way too fat, normaly 10gb is already considered fat...)
- bring back 32bit support (there are intelligent ways to have both 32 and 64bits)
- fix archaïc window management, task switching and fullscreen handling
- make in-house package manager
- make proper way to uninstall apps and cleaning the junk that accumulate in ~/Library/
- make early boot UI and stop pretending macos is a 100gb bios replacement
- play nice with steam, let the games come to macos users
- allow users to remove some of the junk apps macos comes with
- let root account to truely manage the system
to name a few ..

I don't care about that high integration if it doesn't work. Apple watch. Timer used to work, now display freezes. Control camera on iphone from watch? Nope. Black screen on watch. iPhone. Siri keeps turning herself down. Apple tv. Constantly dumps meta data as it says it's full but there is plenty of space. Macbook Pro unlock with apple watch keeps coming and going as it likes. Don't get me started on homepod minis not playing music from an iMac unless you skip to the next track and back again!
