Such a worthless CEO and loser.
[doublepost=1530026974][/doublepost]
These CEO's think the USA can keep bringing in a million LEGAL immigrants a year, and a million ILLEGAL immigrants a year, while also bringing in hundred of thousands of "REFUGEES" a year, most of which take huge amounts of government assistance and are mostly low wage workers, while still selling their 1000 dollar hardware...

These CEO's absolutely don't care about the country, once this country is ruined, they will just go to another country and sell their product. But rude awakening, CHINA WILL NOT SELL NON-CHINESE PRODUCT! So if that's their master plan, good luck.

I'm not saying this in a sarcastic manner, but do you really think Tim Cook lives in a "diverse" neighborhood?

We all know he doesn't. We all know he lives in a gated and armed/secured neighborhood with other "elites".

The parties switched... That’s a good one.

Norman Thomas said recently in a speech made in Cincinnati “Fascism is coming in the United States most probably, but it will not come under that name.” In this statement he was repeating the words of the late Huey Long, but Huey added: “Of course we’ll have it. We’ll have it under the guise of anti-fascism.”

Own it.

Oh no! So *not* hating Jews and poc and other minorities is fascism?? I NEED TO RETHINK EVERYTHING NOW!!!

Precisely! He abuses Apple's brand and platform to spread his message. And I don't know why he says "Apple". When did he became the spokesperson of apple employees? I don't see any official statement from Apple? Will any apple employee be allow to say anything that's contradicting Tim Cook's message? He is a tech CEO, not a pastor!

That's certainly a good point. if the brand's message is Apple's workforce is diverse, then surely within Apple's workforce there are people who don't agree with his message. They can't be eliminated on the basis that they don't believe in Tim's message. Similar to the Amazon employees who recently boycotted law enforcement using AWS' facial recognition software. If there are employees who don't think marriage is a human right anyone should enjoy, are they allowed to speak up about that or are they putting their career on the line for not being PC enough?

There's certainly a social element to liberalism. I was told when I was young that we all end up conservative eventually. Because the ideals you formed when you were coming of age change and some day, maybe when your'e 70, the 'norm' now is simply too much for you. Someone who comes up in the world of gay-rights finds themselves in 2050 looking around at people marrying their dogs and that's the line they don't want to cross and suddenly, they're considered "conservative" when as a kid, they were very liberal. It's a consideration we should all make who consider ourselves liberals. At what point do we become the conservatives who are trying to pay as little tax as possible and keep things the way they were when we were kids? I'm 31 for the record.

So back on topic, there surely are people at Apple who disagree with Tim and federal law protects their opinions and beliefs just like they protect his. It must be challenging to be an alt-right conservative programmer who works at apple. There may not be many of them but those that are there...it has to be challenging.

I guess you can take the approach that they can choose to suffer being surrounded by what they call "snowflakes" OR quit and go work somewhere else. By being very outward about Apple's way of how the world should be that Tim is doing, he's weeding out those who completely disagree with him in the workforce.

and I have to repeat, I have nothing against Tim's message. His message aligns with my political and social beliefs completely. I still just wish there was more of a focus on Apple's product line mixed with the social good he's doing and preaching about.

I think the Employee non-profit contributions matching program is a big one. Tim did that, not Steve. Participating in human rights conversations. all good, keeping suppliers accountable, child labor checks, recycling programs, solar, I love it! There just needs to be balance.

They most certainly did switch ideologies.

The President, a Republican, is so anti-semetic that he has a Jewish daughter and grandchildren, prayed at the Western Wall while visiting Israel, and moved the embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, officially recognizing Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.

Please. Go on.

Apple makes more than the Mac and the Mac makes up only a fraction of their revenue.

If you haven't noticed, the only way to code for the iPhone, iPad, Apple TV & Apple Watch, is on a Mac.

People aren't happy with the Mac lineup in the past few years. They released a poorly designed Mac Pro replacement then stagnated it with no updates, they really butchered the MacBook Pro for the sake of thinness (see keyboard) and took away direct connectivity options, the Mac mini is running on hardware 4 generations behind. The iMac Pro has issues getting serviced at Apple stores, etc, etc...

I don't care if Tim Cook is straight, gay or an alien. But the products released & updated under his leadership have been lackluster.

I believe that Tim is just using his time at Apple to prepare for running for political office.
FGS, let him switch with Don - I rather set my hope to Trump when it comes to re-establishing a well-to-do computer industry (as it was)
Let Cook clean up his desk tomorrow (to continue as a visionary without a plan)

The world would be much happier. The only bad thing is Don would have Apple bankrupt in the first year leading the Don to filing for his 5th bankruptcy overall. Such a great leader and businessman

So some of his best friends are Jewish? I bet they were really upset at his support of nazis marching in Charlottesville then. :(

Even some of his voters are Jewish, like me.

Nothing about that was upsetting to me, except for the fascists pretending to be anti-fascists, and how the media got duped in the whole thing.

However, feel free to tell me how I should feel about it.

I don't care what he does on his own time . But How about talking about some decent hardware innovation on apples time? Apple needs to get rid of this guy. Stat.

Apple NEVER updated their machines twice a year. Rarely even annually. The Mac Mini is not a big seller and never was compared to the rest of the line. Same with time capsule, cinema displays, and frankly the entire airport line. Apple is not a computer company and hasn’t been for a long time. They are a technology, consumer goods and services company. It’s not going back, the industry itself is not going back. However, you seem hellbent on dragging Apple toward those products when virtually all other manufacturers of PCs as a critical component are struggling to survive.

Move on. Those days are long gone and the world has moved to cloud services served by largely agnostic terminals. But hey keep on fighting, and then complain later when your workflow is no longer current and you are displaced as a result.

I mostly agree with you, but the problem many have with Apple not giving their computers much attention is that to make all of those "magical" apps, developers need a Mac to fully develop and that software.

This is why many in my circle are slowly moving away from Apple branded products and services. It's painful, but we believe the longer we wait, the harder it will be.

I've just gotten rid of all four Apple TVs in my house. Packing up the iPads for Amazon Kindles. Next month, replacing the Airport Extremes with Netgear's mesh technology.

I'm waiting for just one of these interviewers to ask him why it's acceptable to sell a pathetically-outdated and slow Mac mini from 2014. Just one.

They would get a mealy mouth answer about how the Mini is important and it would be their last interview with him per Apple PR.

Talk is cheap...Apple can lead by example but instead has chosen to be evangelical and telling everybody what is wrong with the world without providing any real solution. Apple could easily pay for hundreds of thousands of minorities to get into STEM post-secondary schools and get access to education that will help to improve the diversity of people applying to work at Apple and tech industry in general, but instead Tim just invests an hour of his day telling us Apple has changed the world...one $1000 phone at a time, oh, $950 after educational discount.

My feeling when Tim opens his mouth...

Here you are again putting CEO in quotes. Again, he’s the CEO and you’re not and never will be. Again, since you hate him so much, just buy another brand. He’s doing a fine job by the employees and shareholders, and you’re clearly not the target market since you ridiculously think the world is “losing Apple” despite the company’s obvious health. As for calling him evil, yeah we got that from you when you complained about him being at Pride. Shoo.

Tim Cook is a CEO of a company not a politician and is not paid to be an activist for SJW causes.
