Wow, we were required to complete a "Business ethics" class to earn an engineering degree in the late 1980s. Back then the tech industry had more individual contributors / engineers near retirement age, more women, and more respect for the value our customers expected from our products. Now the tech industry is run by opportunists that cannot reason beyond their next 2 week sprint / promotion / burning man event / bender. This is why the tech industry is struggling with its current set of problems (privacy, quality, security), which all have the same root cause: No one gives a crap about anything but themselves.
And now Tim gets to play "High Priest" for a few commencement speeches. Ok, whatever makes you feel better Tim, but you're really just a "Mafia Boss" attending an occasional church service. Everyone knows you have to give a boring sermon on graduation day but no worries, all the graduates will be dreaming of breaking "knee caps" while they snooze through your drivel.
