The Paris Accord was never about the environment, it was about enhancing the power of the global oligarchy. Angela Merkel admitted so herself:
“The Paris deal isn’t just any other deal. It is a key agreement that shapes today’s globalization,” Merkel said, describing discussions with Trump about climate change “very unsatisfying.”

Good ridance.

So a product with a phone OS made in California. Got it.

Anyways, as long as you support products manufactured in clean asian countries like Korea or China, I'm OK with it.

We just don't want to buy products made in the US, since US manufacturers are dirty and pollute.

The US isn't even in the Paris Climate agreement!
Lol. Did the random word generator take over for you? Is this the auto-pilot. I'm so tired and need to get to sleep but this stuff is just too good. I'm learning a lot, keep it coming.

What exactly is that rate? Please give us examples of where we were, where we are, and where we will be and over how many years so we can calculate the rate.

Don't get me wrong, I love baseless hyperbole as much as the next guy, but I should probably get a little actual data from you, just so I don't spoil myself.
The delusions these people have are quite scary honestly.

cue a bunch of self centered windbags who want Apple to 'focus on ___ and stay out politics'.
Sorry buddy, politics and corporations are intertwined in western neoliberal capitalist democracies.
It's kind of the whole point.
Apple is one of the biggest. So what they say as a corporation, whether you like it or not, has impact.
They have done more than most companies regarding reducing toxics as well as other green initiatives.
Personally I prefer to think of green issues as outside of politics. They have nothing to do with cultural or fiscal conservative/liberal rhetoric. It's just about not chewing through the whole planet before the end of the century.
But hey, continue mashing your keyboard about how it's agenda 21 and Obama.

This. People literally have zero idea what is coming. Zero. This is part of my "perfect storm" that I believe is coming. Billions of people displaced due to rising waters will lead to a refugee crisis unlike anything ever seen. Governments desperate to protect their resources will lock down all dissident thought and activity. Wars will break out over water. Then, we'll get some large scale massive disaster (say, Cascadia fault rupturing) which pushes powerful countries like the US over the brink. Everything quickly slides into chaos and petty warmongering. I'd say we've got till about 2040-2050 till then.

Good Lord son, relax. Mad Max and the Walking Dead are fictional stories. The world has survived far nastier real events than the apocalyptic fantasy you are describing. You are living proof of the triumph of life and your ancestors' survival abilities. Life and the forces of good always win my friend, remember that and have a smile. The future is brighter than you know.

Love this move by President Trump. This climate scam was always about wealth redistribution to the developing world (there's more than enough of that already) and establishing a globalist framework.

Leftists are losing their minds, and the best part is they can't explain why.

Besides hyperbolic nonsense like "the world will end!!!", can even one person give a rational explanation why leaving the Paris Accord was a bad thing? Even by your own admission, the Paris Accord does almost nothing to reduce "global warming".

They sure do have impact. They really re shaped the landscape when they spoke out about sides in the ladies room.

Plenty of people who were born before me and lived through the Cold War must have thought the world would end with nuclear bombs.

Globalism is the way of the world.

Remember, the Nazi's were nationalists.

Well, again I'm not dreaming of self sufficiency as we're discussing here, but you're still confusing status-quo with ability. The owe money part is completely irrelevant. If the US ceased to trade with anybody why would we care how anybody valued our money? It would only matter how we did so internally.
Not referring to our currency. We do not have any money, essentially broke. Debt is how we roll. If we put bonds on the market, nobody bid, no money. The money is very relevant to the point of which money rises or falls on the world markets.

While I may not disagree with Cook's take on the Paris Accord, I do think he's being hypocritical by making computers that get harder and harder to repair and are impossible to upgrade (and thus extend their useful life), but criticizing others for not being green. And yes, I know about all of Apple's green initiatives....
That is actually a good point.
I've made it a habit to keep all the Macs that I come in contact with professionally and through freinds and family last as long as possible. You can get SSDs and new batteries for most models of Macbook from OWC. And the Mac Pros are pretty easy to keep running smoothly.
Heck I just retired and 8 year old MBP. And my sister has a 10 year old white MacBook.
Runs great as long as you dont update the OS!
These newer models will just run for a few year then basically be shredded for recycling when the battery or drive goes kaput.

They were also socialists. And the Paris Accord was largely a wealth redistribution scheme. Thank you for making the connection for us between the Paris Accord and the Nazis.
If you don't want socialism, feel free to move to Somalia.

Unfortunately, you like it when other people pay for your things, like your roads, your police, your defense, your food inspectors, your fire department, etc..

Should we stop paying for your defense? Remember, the purpose of government doesn't include defense. It was originally supposed to be private.

Not to mention job numbers have increased fairly substantially since he took office. It's like people have no idea what is actually happening - they just watch Colbert and are convince "Trump = bad".
Just MSM in general. They are told what to to think and it's evident in how they try to rephrase pretty much everything they say to try to get around those facts.

Apples green initiative just means money. That's all Timmy Cook cares about. He's the modern day P.T. Barnum.

"Step right this way! This way to the egress!"

A very sad day for our beautiful country and the world. May people will needlessly suffer as a result of this irrational action by president Trump. Many people will suffer.

In many ways I am glad that I am near 80 and will not live to see the troubled times to come, but my grandchildren and my great grandchildren will. Very sad.

Yep, all those people with a vested economic interest in coercing the us plebs into subsidizing them with our tax dollars and legally obligated participation in their sham business schemes are definitely going to suffer a diminished ability to squeeze money out of the populous. So sorry your Solyndra investment tanked, but for the rest of us - Very happy.
