He's been antagonizing for a while now. The only reason I'm replying to him is that he is a "like" machine for me. I blast his posts and and my likes are going up. It's awesome.That's a well thought out and rational reply. How very democratic of you.
This. People literally have zero idea what is coming. Zero. This is part of my "perfect storm" that I believe is coming. Billions of people displaced due to rising waters will lead to a refugee crisis unlike anything ever seen. Governments desperate to protect their resources will lock down all dissident thought and activity. Wars will break out over water. Then, we'll get some large scale massive disaster (say, Cascadia fault rupturing) which pushes powerful countries like the US over the brink. Everything quickly slides into chaos and petty warmongering. I'd say we've got till about 2040-2050 till then.
Much of the nonsense that Obama unilaterally did had a short-term gain and a long-term gain. The short-term was to appease those he served. The long-term to get his low information voter base to get riled up when the rival party rescinded his decisions/actions. So, like money in the bank, this might get Democrats to the poles in anger instead of the usual apathy.
I'm guessing it won't be an Android phone either since Google is a California company

The economy does NOT revolve around spending money. It revolves around producing goods/services. Trading them makes people produce them more and produce them better. It's a lot more complicated than I can understand in the short term when you're looking at what's built on top of that, but that's the foundation. High spending is usually a sign of a good economy, but besides short-term issues like inflation and debt that could hinder long-term growth, spending money on useless stuff (certain bureaucrats) does nothing but move wealth around unless that somehow spurns more production.
How much value long-term does, say, Snapchat add to the economy? I would argue close to zero despite the company being valued at $20B. In theory, that $20B must have come out of something else. Probably $20B worth of wasted time.

Well, again I'm not dreaming of self sufficiency as we're discussing here, but you're still confusing status-quo with ability. The owe money part is completely irrelevant. If the US ceased to trade with anybody why would we care how anybody valued our money? It would only matter how we did so internally.

Er, the senators who take their money are ready to legislate along the same lines that Trump wrote exec orders rolling back Obama-era environmental regs.
So high spending on things we don't need under Trump is better because I really don't see any changes in the trillion dollar debt or any job improvements as Trump preaches. Instead us moving us forward we are going backwards could possibly become a third world country at the rate we are going, heck I doubt he even bothered reading about GW he really did not cared and to say GW is a hoax than where are those scientists that are saying that it is a hoax.

Anyways, as long as you support products manufactured in clean asian countries like Korea or China, I'm OK with it.
We just don't want to buy products made in the US, since US manufacturers are dirty and pollute.

What exactly is that rate? Please give us examples of where we were, where we are, and where we will be and over how many years so we can calculate the rate.

As someone wiser than me once said, its a sin not to take a sucker's money from him. Whether its man-made or not, nobody's disagreeing that things are getting hotter. While everybody's busy arguing over who started the fire, I'm stocking up on fire extinguishers and when the time comes, you, just like everybody else, will pay whatever the asking price is.
