Steve Jobs had his “reality distortion field.“ Tim Cook has Apple Vision Pro. Clearly, the distortion field worked better.

I've got a Quest 3 and it is great. But the AVP has a few hardware differences, none of them cheap... it is not just the OS.
Understood. I’ll take the savings for the use cases on the Quest 3 because the hardware differences, ridiculous eyes on the front, and extra weight are not worth the 7x price factor.

I wonder in the future will they utilize Apple Intelligence to make product marketing decisions.

He may or may not use it every day but the difference Tim is that we have to pay stupid money for ours.

Why buy an expensive OLED TV when you can watch it on a regular LCD?
Why buy an 85" TV when you can watch it closer on a 32" TV and get the same big screen effect?
Why buy a big car when you fit in a small one?
Why buy a smartphone if a phone should only be used to make phone calls?

that would be a good argument to follow him - I will include the Vision Pro in my fitness program, would like a stronger neck :)
but your core won’t get as good of a workout because your wallet will be a lot lighter 😉

And what so bad about that? You have to wear glasses, hats, helmets, Face protection, etc.
What’s so wrong about wearing a device design to wear on your head?
If you don’t’ like it, that’s your choice. Speak for yourself, don’t try to guess what others think.

The main issue in this conversation had to do with $3500.00
Heck!
There are people paying $3000 for sunglasses and $5000 for Sneakers, so what’s the problem?
Can’t afford an AVP? Look for a different cheaper product. Move on. Stop the whining already.
Every time the AVP is mentioned, the toxic replies have to follow.

Tim is exactly right. My AVP is sitting right next to me right now and once I finish a cup of coffee, and dictating this to my iPhone, I will be putting it on to complete some major projects I have to do. I found it greatly improves my productivity and makes multitasking so much better. I use it both with a Bluetooth keyboard, and quite frequently with my MacBook Pro. In fact, I find I now use more for productivity than I do for entertainment. It takes a little bit to understand spatial computing, and its implications, but once one does, a whole New World opens up. I found the Vision Pro to have been worth every penny and I use it more and more all the time, now from 4 to 6 hours a day. What is most exciting about it is that I understand that in a couple years, they’ll be a new version even more powerful and more exciting. I will be buying it as soon as it’s available.

Apple CEO Tim Cook uses the Apple Vision Pro every day, according to an interview he did with The Sun to highlight the headset's launch in the UK. Cook said that he uses the Vision Pro "in all aspects of [his] daily life."

For specifics, Cook said he used the headset to watch Ted Lasso season three, and that he also watches other Apple TV+ content using the headset.Cook went on to say that he feels multitasking is "so much more efficient" on Vision Pro because of the support for multiple windows that can be placed in the wearer's physical space.

The Vision Pro experience is hard to explain, said Cook, who recommended that potential customers get a demo. "It's hard to explain it in words," Cook said. "It's hard to show it in a 2D fashion, what a 3D experience will be." At the same time, Cook believes it's simple to use the headset with the gestures that work "the way your mind works." If you can use an iPhone, you can "very easily" use Vision Pro, according to Cook.

According to Cook, some who go through the demo experience find it to be emotional, specifically in reference to viewing spatial photos and videos that allow users to relive memories. "It's interesting to watch people, the reaction that they have," he said. "You know many of them tear up."

Designing the Apple Vision Pro required Apple to file more than 5,000 patents, Cook explained, before lauding the Vision Pro team. "I'm so proud of the total, and the perseverance of the team because this was multiple years in the making."

Cook's full interview can be read at The Sun's website. The Apple Vision Pro is launching in the UK, Canada, France, Germany, and Australia tomorrow, with demos set to be available in Apple retail stores.
