I've been keepin notes and happened to get her to give me her phone and extension number which is allowing to let you leave her and the whole IUP Team a voicemail. Anyone please feel free to voice your opinion on this fiasco...

LOL Jessica and the team are probably going to call in sick tomorrow anyway if these calls don't go out. They're phones will be ringing off the wall first thing if not.

Sat on hold for 3 hours Monday night. Put a preference in and got an email from the IUP Specialist with contact info. No phone call, no email as of yet. I just left a voicemail for him. Email said he works until Midnight my time. I told him to call me back tonight, if still possible.

At this point I've given up getting a phone tomorrow. I just want more information so I can make decisions (changing color, etc). The radio silence is deafening.

I requested Jet Black. He didn't ask for a secondary preference. If it's going to be within a week for Jet Black, I can wait. If it's going to be longer, I'd probably switch to matte black. Being left in the dark is frustrating as hell.
 
Obviously, I like everyone else early Monday, was promised a call back in 48 hours and... it didn't happen. So I called earlier today (about 70 hours later) and was transferred quickly to iPhone Upgrade Team.

"I'm sorry but I don't have any new information for you. I see your first request, but I don't know more. I can escalate your information again and they will call within 48-72 hours." She was apologetic and offered confirmation of the issues... but just let it sit until I let her 're-escalate' the case.

I did email Tim, on Friday Morning immediately after I realized what was wrong... I never heard back. If you emailed Tim and got a phone, consider yourself extremely lucky.

I'm done. I know they 'reopened' reservations, but in my location there wasn't anything new that I would settle for. It appears that they handled the bulk of the issue with the extra reservations and let the rest go by the wayside until we complain again... I expect I will have to call Monday when I don't hear back.

I requested black or silver, at 5 different stores and no dice
 
Is emailing Tim Cook how you got around the 2-3 week wait for jet black?
I emailed Tim Cook. I got an email from a representative on his behalf (and called her). I also called IUP support. And I still have a 2-3 week wait for a Jet Black or Black iPhone 7 Plus. Really kicking myself for joining IUP.

I have had the EXACT same experience. I still have not received any email. Did you ever get one???



Called Sunday, was told that I would be contacted Tuesday.
Called Wednesday, was told that I would be contacted today.
Received a call today, was told that I would receive an email and to keep my eyes open.
Called six hours later, was told that I would be contacted eventually.
 
Exact same for me as well.

Is it safe to assume that maybe you guys are all hoping for a jet black model as well? And possibly they are waiting on some supply info to come back/get entered into the system that will update inventory before they send out our emails? Odd that they have that message up on the site too. Who knows, something is going on though.

But "Chris" from a 512 number said I'd be getting a call today and thanked me again for my patience.

**FYI I called the 1-800 number mid day last Sunday


I spoke to a guy this morning too. He called me from a 512 ac also. Still have yet to receive any email. I called the 800 number at 9am on Sunday.

1) You tell us to call, which plenty do, especially after Macrumors article.
2) Call right away, guy is cool as can be, takes my preferences and 2nd preferences
3) Told to expect call or email in 48 hours
4) Waiting
5) Waiting, but see lots of people getting in orders that opened up
6) Waiting
7) Receive phone call stating that I would receive an email later today with my pickup options for my reservation
8) Waiting
9)Crickets
10)Jessica goes on vacation
 
First time ever posting on this site but I figured this was worth mentioning...

I was actually able to reserve a 128gb JB iPhone 7 plus, this morning. Out of nowhere it showed that it was in stock at my Apple Store! I can't believe it. I have been waiting all week for a call back or an email, and never received one.

Got exactly the same email AS I was getting on the subway to hope to trade up my silver reservation.

Not launch day but happy to have it within a week and a half. Needless to say I got back off the subway once I read it.

I got an email too. But I asked for 7+ Black, 256GB, Tmobile. Oh well. I'll be picking up the 7, Black, 256GB today that I managed to preorder last Fri morning.

Just got an email that stated, "your new iPhone 7 Plus 128 GB Jet Black for Sprint will be available for pick up by October 3, 2016.

We will email you as soon as your iPhone is ready for pick up"
 
So I'd called IUP support on Monday, and I never received a call back. I did receive email updates, most recently on Wednesday that I would hear something within 72 hours.

I had an 8:30 a.m. reservation today for an iPhone 7, but this morning I received an email indicating the iPhone 7 Plus I wanted was reserved:

Dear sammiemo,

We’re excited to let you know that you’ll be able to upgrade to iPhone 7 soon.

Your new iPhone 7 Plus 128GB Black with Verizon will be available for pick up at [my store] by Monday, September 26.

We will email you as soon as your iPhone is ready for pick up.

I just cancelled this morning's reservation. I'm happy to wait 10 days for the phone I want. The bad part about the experience was not knowing when I'd be able to get the new phone while potentially continuing to make payments on my old one.
 
I HIGHLY recommend people to check for reservations this morning on the Apple Store app. I was able to find what I wanted!

Hi,
Received am email stating I had a reservation for JB 7 plus 128 that would be available for pickup in store by 9/26/16 . Maybe some will arrive sooner ?
