How long does it take to prepare? Stick it in a box and ship it already!

I am lazy/blind perhaps and didn't see if you posted about your order in this thread already, but when did you order? Seems like some people are having trouble, and others aren't. I'm in Canada and ordering an unlocked phone so I suppose that puts me at an advantage. Have they started selling unlocked for USA yet?
BTW if anyone knows....why UPS is shipping my phone? lol..I hate them!!! I had made another order for headphones/accessory at the same time that I ordered my iPhone, and they already sent that, by FedEx...and for some reason (I can't recall if somebody told me this, or if I read it on the Apple site or wtf it was) but I was like 100% under the impression that the phone would be sent FedEx as well.
Not a biggie, obviously I'll continue to wait for UPS to deliver my phone now but....they better not screw up!
WTF!!!! Now it says my iPhone is back in Alaska. It was in Memphis, TN and had the international shipment release but now it's be sent back to Anchorage?
I now see that I'm not the only one getting stuck with UPS shipping their phone.
Anyway. Mine arrived in Alaska yesterday morning and left Alaska at 11pm. I'm in Ontario, Canada. Any ideas/past experiences of how long it will take from there? I'm content with my delivery date, I don't work that day or the next. I'm actually afraid they will attempt delivery a day early when I'm not there lol

Yeh, I dunno what's up with that ultimately, but I do know that the last time I got anything shipped to me from Apple, my tracking info told me my parcel was in Calgary, AB, a two-three hour flight from my Province (after it had already been at the sorting depot that's a two hour drive from my home). For its scan in Calgary it stated it was going our for delivery lol. I was like yeah not getting this one on time..... But then it showed up at my door. It went from Calgary to my door....in less time than possible had it actually been all the way there and back. Sometimes their Tracking info doesn't add up unfortunately.

Had the same issue, but mine finally arrived in Memphis, TN at 1AM. Doubt I get it before Tuesday now.
Yea, it's back in Memphis now too. I was about to have a heart attack if Apple had recalled the package. LOL.
Ordered my phone last thursday (11/3/11) from verizon online. 64GB Black. I am switching over from android because i have had enough of it...my droid charge that i bought not even 4 months ago hasn't been updated once. I also have a droid x that is pretty good but i doubt it will get updated. Anyway, after filing a complaint with the BBB about how crappy the charge was and there are many other people on xda that filed complaints about the charge too. after a couple phone calls with vzw, they agreed to let us upgrade to any phone for free. We had the upgrade put on a line that we just started 2 months ago so basically we got any phone for free for a 2 month extension. Picked the iphone 4s 64 gb. going to see how it goes with all of the battery issues but i doubt ill have any issue. My standard for battery life is very low because on my charge i can barely get through the day. I have an itouch 3g but i havent yet updated to ios5 (need my jailbreak). Any advice to a new iPhone owner?

Now today is in Kentucky, arrived there 13:05.
Seems to be moving quickly enough, for me anyway...

Hey thanks, yeah I ordered on 10/30 in the at&t store. Still on BO. I'm thinking this coming week I will see some progress. I saw some orders on the at&t order status page that were a few numbers ahead of me that were ordered around the 28th of Oct that have already come off of back order and have shipped, so hopefully it won't be too long now.
I'm not sure if they are selling unlocked in U.S. yet.

Same here... due to arrive Nov 8-16th... I hope it's sooner rather than later.
Ordered 16gb Sprint iPhone 4s on Nov. 1. Original estimated delivery b/w Nov 14 & Nov 21.
Updated to "Preparing for Shipment" sometime b/w Nov. 5 & 6 (I was on a retreat during the weekend and so had no internet/phone in order to check status)
Got an email an hour ago (Nov 7) saying its shipped!!!!
Currently on its way from Shenzhen, China
Apple estimates delivery by Nov. 10 while FedEx says Nov. 11

Just checked and it is on the FedEx truck for delivery today, a day early that what was originally scheduled. Gotta love that! The wait is almost over! 😀

My expected delivery date is the 10th but it's being delivered today.#WIN. I'm surprised that it shipped today since it arrived in Chicago @ 7am today.

Well my wait is over! I got it a few minutes ago and I must say it is a beauty! I have to go out now but I must say it was worth it. It is heavier than i thought it would be but feels really solid. I am upset that I have to go out now so I'll have to play with it when I get back but it was well worth the wait!😀

I thought it was just me that noticed it. It also feels like it has more grip than my iPhone. Waiting for my iPhone 4 to finish charging for my wife and then I'll activate the 4S. Thank God it can with a SIM now all I have to do is call AT&T later and activate it my wife iPhone 4.

I called them and asked them what's going on but all I got was "I don't know why this is happening". Mine is going to Indiana.
