Apple.com 1 to 2 week order status thread

Just placed my order for a black AT&T 16 GB. Preliminary estimated delivery dates are November 16-23. Is there any way to pay for or otherwise get expedited shipping, instead of the free standard shipping? There were no options at checkout.

The Apple Store near me seems to only be getting white models for AT&T so I'll just wait and let the iPhone come to me.

yeah its funny how the same day I call to ask when it will be shipping they finally move it to preparing for shipping and then to shipped. It is coming Fedex 2nd day from California.

I ordered on 10/22, it shipped this morning, and it's scheduled for delivery 11/8 by 4:30. I would say about 4 maybe 5 days for shipping considering it's coming from another country.
 
Update.....

Ordered: 64GB White iPhone 4S AT&T
Date ordered: Nov 1st
Date shipped: Nov 2nd
Expected delivery: Nov 8th

Wow, so I get my new iPhone and MW3 comes out the same day. What will I do with my day? Time to prepare an excuse to call in sick for work!
 
My order shipped today!! It's coming from China. So it took 10 days to process and ship, they gave me 1-2 weeks so they were right on schedule.

Ordered Oct. 24
Shipped Nov. 3
Est. Delivery Nov. 8

i was going to pull the trigger last night and order my wife's BUT i thought i would give the apple store reservation a go......bingo, reservation for one at&t 16g black 4s to be picked up today. nice little surprise for her. :) later.
 
AT&T in-stores are shipping QUICK now! Most of the 11/1's are shipped with tracking numbers and a few 11/2's.

Figured they would catch up with the demand. It was just a matter of when not if. I got a feeling that the 4S will be a hot seller for Christmas :apple:

It seems like they are catching up now. I'll give it another 2 to 3 weeks before we be able to just walk into a store and get one w/o preordering in store. They are probably preparing for the Black Friday rush towards the end of the month.
 
tried to reserve aa att white 64gb online at apple.com for in store pickup at 9pm. No luck at any orange county apple stores. hopefully tonight.

I imagine Black Friday to be a very busy day for :apple: and other retailers as well. Pursuing a 2nd job now, but I want to start AFTER black Friday :D
 
I put in my order for a white 16gig iPhone 4S on Oct. 28, around 11pm. Today (Nov. 3rd) at precisely 9:03 a.m. I got the email saying my phone has been shipped. Roughly one week after putting in my order, that is. Not bad, it seems, considering the demand perhaps...

Delivery date is supposed to be Nov. 11.

Edit: Apple says Nov. 11 is expected delivery. UPS says Nov. 10.
