FYI: At the Columbia store and they still aren't selling anything but 7s to walk-ins.

And I think the only reason this launch is so "messy" is because of the mistake they made with the IUP. If not for that, we would all be in one pool and there would be more 7+s available. This was their first time doing a launch with the IUP, they've learned their lesson, this will not happen again.

I'm hoping an Apple Store is worth a shot. I was told they do receive stock daily, so it honestly might be hit or miss until stocks becomes more easily available.

It was that way for iPhone 6S. I had to check my local store website daily and every other hour to see their inventory. I was able to finally got the iPhone I wanted after few days from the initial released date.

Clearly apple saw the writing on the wall that the 7 wasn't likely going to produce huge sales numbers like they are accustomed to and made significantly less of these units than previous years. They bottlenecked their own supply to create a fervor that likely wouldn't be there if they had produce equal units to previous years.

How do you check inventory in your local store?

I'm at my local Apple Store... they don't have any Pluses in store today

This is so frustrating.
[doublepost=1474120300][/doublepost]And the online reserve link for non-IUP people still isn't working.

Checked all 50 states, no Pluses available, even for iUP members.

There's a special link that will show the true inventory that is given to you after the website or app confirms that you qualify for IUP. A few people in this thread were able to even find 7 Plus in Jet Black even though everyone else using the standard IUP link didn't see any 7 Plus models at all.

Are you a member? Pluses were showing for iup members a few hours ago.
I'm not. I just used the iUP reservation link that circulates in this forum.

Ah, didn't know that.

So now what to do!! I got an email from Apple yesterday saying my IUP phone (same phone) will be at my local store by Sept 26th.

Do I keep Paid in full phone or IUP phone?
Do I open Paid in full phone while I wait for IUP phone?
Do I... AHHHHH!

Keep your paid in full phone, cancel your iPhone upgrade reservation, and return your paid in full phone to the Apple Store within 14 days to repurchase and process as an IUP. I was told to do the same from a specialist at Apple.

can an iup member check the availability of pluses? I feel like it won't be long if iup members can easily get them.

I'm on the east coast and they're all sold out within the closest 3 states. They had everything but Jet Black at 12:01AM local time.

I feel like it's going to be like a ghost town unless you buy online or until Apple comes out with a statement saying how we can purchase phones.

So if I sign up for the IUP plan does it automatically mail me the phone or can I choose to pick up in store and see inventory when it becomes available? This is how I was planning to purchase the phone all along was with the IUP plan.

What a cluster** this release has turned out to be. I decided to skip this release but couldn't escape the madness since my wife decided she wanted one at the last minute. Since I refuse to make a line I am caught up in this reservation madness
