When I traded in my 6s for 7 Friday he said I had $299 balance for 6s. (I still had more payments to make I guess). I upgraded for Next 12 plan but I wonder if my balance is now $299 from previous 6s + new iphone 7 ... I may try to chat with ATT online.
I assume regardless since you traded it in and they accepted that completely took off your balance even if you return it

The at&t rep is right.
So that means I can get a 7 plus with IUP even though I already have the 7 with ATT Next? I only have 1 line also.

Yes, that is a good point. I forgot trading in the old phone forgives the balance. So in theroy if I return my new 7 I wouldn't have any more Next balance or payments.

Thats exactly how I read it! lol

Yup correct. iUP and Next are not connected to each other
I am still completely lost on how to even get approved for the IUP program and whatnot, but do know it does a hard check on your credit

For iUP, since you are a first time customer this year, only way to get started in the program is to order a phone and have credit check done online. The phone will ship to u(if u enroll now phone will definitely take 2-3 weeks to come). Also yea will be a hard check.

Last year Apple allowed iUP members to enroll in store but not this year. Even if u try and get a in store reservation now for a phone u want, they may or may not allow u to enroll first time in store.

Not sure what this means regarding when stock is updated (if anything), but if you check istocknow every Apple store but 1 on the east coast is out of every 7 and 7+
Edit: All of them on the east coast are now out of stock
I noticed this as well, seems like stores are showing out of stock as soon as they close for the day. Hence, the shift from the east coast to the west coast. Hopefully it means they are updating their inventory. Doubt it, but who knows.

So you are saying I can't use the online reservation system for 1st time IUP customer? (for in store pickup) Doesn't really make any sense why Apple would do that. An existing customer is worth more than a new customer?

Well that's the process this year. Which is actually better. I would ask u to check posts dating 1week back the hell and havock existing iUP customers went through on pre order weekend. Myself being in that pool I can tell it was a lot of waste of time.
And for existing customers consider this, their 12 payments are done. The longer they wait, they pay 13,14 payments which a loss of money for them if Apple doesn't give them option to upgrade at earliest.

Nothing on East coast updated on the iUP link, and non iUP still not live. Ugh :( Monday then?
