Last night there were no 7+ showing up at any store in my area. I checked the site at noon and I was able to reserve one at the Tysons Corner store. Picked it up at 3.

You paid in full outright for the phone or you are part of the IUP? Which link did you use last night?
So there seems to be a lot of contradicting information here in the thread, should we expect to reserve a Plus model tonight (Non IUP costumers) at 12:01am local time?(eastern for me)

Only existing members were getting access to plus phones last night. If you want a regular 7 you shouldn't have an issue using it.
From what I understand, 12:01 local time. It makes sense because that's when all the stores update Iphone 7 inventory. I'll personally be checking both links and the app. I believe you can reserve it however you can and then work out the iUP details or any other in store. I can't imagine that would matter to them. Can't say for sure though. May be able to do it through the link as well. I really don't know.
I'm hoping to find a 7+ as my pre-order went from processing to preparing to ship this morning and back to processing again. I don't know what is going on.
No one knows anything for sure. If you want one and are willing to wait till midnight I'd go for it. The link will work if something available and Apple lets us see it. Simple as that. Its currently showing one in Alabama - should work if there are any available tonight.
Wouldn't say no chance but when a IUP member uses it by confirming their SN and IMEI a special access point looks to be generated giving them access to the plus right now.
I imagine it will go back to normal eventually, but who knows when.

Yeah really. At around 12:04 or something is when I could do it. I just picked up the phone at 4:15 for full price.
I am not in iUP. I just reserved the phone online and then went and told them that I wanted to buy it at full price because I don't want my credit run and I had a really nice "specialist" who was great and I was out within 10mins.

I see. I have one on order for Oct 11 - 17 but I want to see if I can get one earlier. Very slim chance but I'll keep checking. Any idea how long it takes to cancel an order and make you eligible for a new one?
Thanks for getting back to us. Which link did you use? The one that consistently says they aren't accepting orders or the one from the iUP e-mails that's showing the 7's in stock? And congrats on the phone.

That's what I used. I just kept refreshing it. But regardless I don't think it matters what you used. As long as they have a phone kept aside for you, you don't really need to worry. They will let you buy it at full price.

but I already had the 32gb model delivered yesterday,I just wanted to swap it out for a bigger capacity Unfortunately no I don't. It shouldn't take long for the system to update, but then again it's VZW so who knows.
I did it back with the 6 Plus through ATT and I just asked on the phone. The woman canceled it and made sure it was eligible before I ended the call. Not sure if you do it online.

That is so bizzare but i guess ill believe you. many of us here on the forum were all trying that link last night for hours and nobody got anywhere with it so im suprised you managed to get through and not only did you get through but you managed to preorder a Plus,
Not the Plus. Just the 7. I had preordered a 7 and reserved a 7 too. I have absolutely nothing to do with Plus phones
You will be able to buy a phone full price even if you reserve it through the IUP link.
Okay, so I've been checking both reservation links and the istock page (thank you for that!!) and saw on istock a 128 + ATT in rose in Birmingham Alabama randomly in stock when I log back on (which I see someone else mentioned earlier). It actually showed up on the IUP link as well, and I jumped on it.
I am not a previous IUP member. I super quickly made the reservation, as thats basically the phone I want. I ideally want a 256 + RG ATT, but will take a 128 at this point. Birmingham is a 8 hour drive, but I said I'll go for it and make a road trip tomorrow.
Anyways, get done with the reservation and realize I'm a complete idiot and made it for TONIGHT (for a time slot that was actually already passed? wtf apple) instead of tomorrow. To be fair to myself I only saw 3 late afternoon time slots and no option for other days etc and assumed. No way to edit it and it isn't available in the system anymore. I'm on a 30 minute hold with Apple ATM, but not at all hopeful

Here is the deal. As you realized yourself ,they won't keep your phone till tomorrow if you reserved it till today unless you find someone "higher up". Try calling the store , that might help.

I called the 800 Apple and talking to the system asked the store I had a reservation for and said it connected me. Thats when the hold started. Nervous to hang up and call store directly if I am actually already 30 minutes into a hold with them.

Use another phone to call the store. I would be a on killing spree full of rage if I had to drive 8 hours and there is no phone available for me but then I wouldn't drive for 8 hours just to get a phone a few weeks early. :/
