Does reservation of a verizon device require you to fill in verizon account information like the pre-orders did? I'm assuming no since you'd be walking into the store to pay and not paying online? I rather not steal someone's possible device to test it out, since my color is unavailable currently.

I have T-Mobile and there is a Verizon phone available. I want to pay for it straight out. Can I just get the Verizon phone and use it with T-Mobile?

Yes. You can do that. That's exactly what I did. And you won't need any Verizon account information.

Nice to see the reserve system is now up and running. Closest store to me with the config that I want in the 7+ is 3 hrs. away. Wouldn't be the craziest thing I've ever done. But it's sacrificing 6+ hrs of my day and 400 miles of combined driving.

Well that's the tricky part here...The first night, it launched at 12:01-12:05am.

LAST night, it didn't launch at all and actually went down around 2:30am CST and didn't come back up till 8am this morning.

So idk, the website says 12:01am, so maybe tonight they'll start honoring that time...Who knows?

Apparently it's 8:01 am local for the IUP reservation link I was able to reserve right at 8:01 am.

Heck i woke up at 11 AM this morning and could reserve the 128gb ATT plus matte black version from every apple store nearby...but all they had was ATT

That's what I did. I didn't set up an alarm this morning though, but I happen to wake up at 7:50 am Central time (since my window is facing east, it's bright) and decided to check on my iPad. I couldn't resist and went for the reservation.

Sorry I meant you have to activate the phone with the provider that it was alloted for. Example- Verizon model must be activated in store with a Verizon account. This applies to the iPhone upgrade program, not when buying outright.

What about this loophole? I have a Verizon iPhone for work. It probably can't be activated on that account since I'm not th going account holder and it's a business plan? If it was possible I could activate it on Verizon but use it with T-Mobile?
