Apple.com 6/17 Online Reserve

I wish Apple would have clarified that it wasn't going to go up at 12:01 am for non-IUP participants.
 
For apple is extremely confusing and complex. I don't even see how one gets to the non AUP link in the first place from the site. I just got it off the inter webs (where they say the reserves go up at 8am not 12:01 like on the actual site).
 
It seems that if you're signed in with an existing IUP account, you are shown different availability (such that include iPhone 7 Plus models in stock).

the thing is that even if you were an IUP participant there aren't any plus models to pick from, atleast not if youre on the east coast. they only have the small 4.7 inch model to choose from so im rather confused

Did you read the previous posts? Clearly there are plus models IF you are already signed up for the program.

well in 15 minutes after I am done with this nonsense. If i get my preorder from VZW I get it, if they push it back one more time, I'm out of the game until I can walk in somewhere and buy the phone without any of these hassles.

i did but its unclear, so if someone has an ACTIVE IUP profile you're saying they are seeing PLUS model availability that we (Non IUP users) are not seeing?

i personally want to pay in full for the phone outright if i can hopefully schedule a reservation but this uncertain wait is getting ridiculous

My issue here is lack of communication. Why wouldn't they clarify that at 12:01 am reservations for iPhone 7 Plus would be available only for IUP members? What reason do they have to withhold this information? Then they could simply say, "And remaining stock of Plus models will be available to everyone else at 8am EST", or a week from now, whatever. Just COMMUNICATE. Why does it have to be a mystery and guessing game?

Exactly! They are seeing the Plus stock than those that aren't.

Agreed. they are probably still making it up to these IUP users that couldn't place initial preorders on the 9th due to the server issue and they are reimbursing them this way by giving them inventory not available to the rest of the public first before anyone else.

I'm sure they are making it up to them. You are exactly right. And I have no problem with that. Yeah, it sucks that I didn't join that program last year. But I can understand them wanting to making it up to the IUP members. I just wish they were communicating how they planned on executing this reservation process beginning on 9/17.

After selecting a phone and signing in, it says that you agree to purchase the phone and start a new iPhone Upgrade Program lease, etc, etc. I don't think you're supposed to be using this link to purchase the phone full-price, but I'm not sure if anyone at the Apple Store will actually stop you.
 
I agree with you guys. It's like Apple wants us to solve this huge puzzle to get our phones. So annoying.

which say that it opens at 8am... I hope everyone can see why this is so confusing. You click a link reported to open at 8am and it says 12:01
 
i think its going to be 3:01AM eastern since the apple reserve link says "Please check back tomorrow after 12:01 a.m."

well if thats the case... i'm off to bed. I'll give the link a chance at midnight my time, but thats all the steam I have in me for this labyrinth.
 
I, too, think (since there is no time-zone specification for the whole US site) that 3:01am might be when the site opens for in-store reservations.
