No it says error processing request, comes after entering CC info. I believe a few others had it a couple pages back and cnotes had it but simply stated "he fixed it". Just like to know what they did.
I think it means the phone is no longer available at the store you were going to pick it up at. I've been trying all day for a store pickup and am using the istocknow inventory tracker. After I try to place an order I get an error, then the tracking site shows it's out of stock. They're going way too fast.![]()
Is adding a UDP not available anymore? When I go to the apple store, I choose "Add existing line to my account" and the next page it asks for the phone, zip and SS# and then I click on "check eligibility". The next page tells me to select a MORE Everything plan from 250 mb to 100 gb. I don't have any other options listed for me that refer to my current UDP.
I was thinking of adding line for my wife, but if not, I will just the the upgrade for the UDP through Apple instead for my one line UDP.
Thanks.

I don't believe you choose 'add existing line'. Isn't it just add a new line??I did it too many times that I forgot SMH.

ME = Cnotes... I never said I had it. I said another poster (he) fixed it because he had it and then was able to try again and he didn't get it again. But I was talking about an message I got when I went to add a line. It mentioned that 'verizon may require require a deposit when purchasing another iphone'. Another poster on here mentioned he got the same message but I could find his post. I also got a $1 authorizing charge after I purchased a free iphone c today so I'm thinking a charge is coming. That's never happened before when getting a iphone c

It's just add a new line![]()
I'm psychic.

When I try to add a line, after I put in my ID info, I see this message:
Based on the information you provided, you will only be able to pick up your iPhone in an Apple Retail Store.
Verizon may also require a deposit in order for you to purchase a new iPhone; deposit can only be paid in an Apple Retail Store.

Is this an indication that the apple rep will have to call verizon for activation?
So did you have to pay a deposit??![]()

No I didn't have to. The reason apple gave me the warning message was because I was using an international passport as ID, and it probably couldn't do a credit check for me. But I was able to pick up my phone without issues.
So I wonder why I got that all of a suddendid you get a $1 fee on your cc after you placed that order??

I didn't notice, but I also picked up within 5 hours of ordering. Since you ordered a 'free' phone, I assume that $1 is just an authorization charge that would go away. I doubt they can charge the deposit on your credit card without your permission.
But I've done several iPhone 5c add a lines with UDP and this is the first time I've seen a $1 charge on my cc so I'm not sure. I'll pick it up tomorrow so I'll see what happens. Only good thing (if I am required to pay a deposit) is that I will get it back once I sell the line![]()
It seems like there are too many things that can go wrong with trying to secure upgrade pricing while keeping one's UDP. This is what my current family plan looks like:
Line 1 - UDP
Line 2 - UDP (upgrade available)
Line 3 - TDP
I tried to transfer the upgrade on line 2 to line 3 in order to get upgrade pricing, but Verizon told me that just moving the upgrade would cause line 2 to lose its UDP. I can't remember if Best Buy told me this as well or not. But even if this was possible, I don't think I could do a device swap to associate the number on line 1 to the device purchased under line 3 (my line is line 1). If I tried the SIM swap method I think the upgrade would have to had already been on my line. In the end I just ended up paying full retail price ($800 through Best Buy) minus the trade-in value I received for my 5s ($300).
Note: I later called Best Buy and had them refund me $50 in order to price match what other major retailers were selling the same phone for.
I have a question about transferring upgrades...
Line 1 - 4S UDP mtm upgrade available
Line 2 - 4S UDP mtm upgrade available
Line 3 - 4 UDP mtm upgrade available
Line 4 - 4s 2Gb just used upgrade
Line 5 - new UDP iphone6+ coming Thursday (which I'll use on line 1)
I just used the upgrade on line 4 to get an i6 which will be used on line 3. Can I transfer any of the other 3 upgrades to line 4 and use them to get phones for those lines? Or am I blocked because I just used that lines upgrade?
Thanks!
How many lines do you have on your account? If you're on an old family share plan you're limited to 5 lines.every time i go through the apple website to add a new line, i enter all my information and eventually it says an error and that my attempt can't be processed and i should try again later. been getting this for about a week now.
if i go to upgrade existing line it does go through and let's me select the phone out of contract for full price, but i can't seem to be getting the "add a line to account" option to work?
any ideas on how to fix this? i did a chat with apple and they told me to call the 800 number as they didn't know why i'm getting this issue.
anyone in the same boat? i really want to order this...![]()

Click past the more everything plan, and you can choose a different data plan on the next page.

Update! Picked up phone at Apple store, employee had to call vzw credit check (guessing it was mainly for fraud). I had the msg online saying there may be a deposit, no deposit just had to talk to the credit check ppl. First was told wait would be 72 hrs. Apple employee talked to them and it was resolved. Walked out of store and activated in food court. Unlimited still showing on new account! Thanks everyonethis is awesome!
Ok, I click to add a line and then enter the phone #, zip and last 4 of SS. The next screen is the Select a MORE everything plan and the only options are 250 mb, 500 mg, 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, 20 30, 40, 50, 60, 80 & 100gb. If I keep hitting the arrow on the right until it is greyed out, that is the screen with the 50, 60, 80 & 100 gb plans.
Am I missing something else?

Yes you can. just activate them on line 4 each time you transfer the upgrade and get the phone. Then log into the device activation screen and do a device swap.
