Did anybody succeed at the Apple Store today?

Worried about tottenj's comment
I'm not worried. I've got one order through Apple, a few through Best Buy and Costco (each). All of them are showing tracking information targeting tomorrow and the following day. My brother ordered one - funny, this - he's in Sitka AK, his iPhone went from Inchon to Anchorage, then over his head to Louisville, and they just left Louisville about an hour ago. They could have just dropped it from the plane, and he's going to be in Anchorage tomorrow. All seven of mine (and for my small company) have taken the same route. I'd hazard a wager that many Apple Stores will have more than a few in stock when those UPS planes land. My UPS guy told me today he's supposed to have a couple hundred in his truck tomorrow.

Does this glitch work through the other retailers you mentioned as well?

2hrs ago verizon came out and said no throttling for unlimited data useres after all. Verizon unlimited like gold again ya!!!!! Oh ok just happy. Now people should really think about risking there udp. Hold on to it.

Sadly, no. I'd using the "Best Buy" method on those to upgrade existing lines with no-longer-throttled UL data. My quoted comment was more toward the crapton of iPhones that are hitting the stores soon, not about adding a line, which I've tried to do and am waiting for. I'd also considered adding another line via the Apple web site but can't with the 1-line-at-a-time restriction others have mentioned. I'd considered cancelling my Apple order to get one at a local Apple Store, but it seems there aren't any at the nearby stores for more than a few minutes...

Well; didn't get the phone (played it safe and canceled the order) but it was some kind of verification thing. No changes on the account. Not sure what is up with that. Is this new?

Never had hat happen..

Hey guys,

Longtime lurker, first time poster. I would just like some confirmation from some of you guys and gals. I know someone had posted it a few pages ago, but I want to make sure we are still all good.

If you view the newly added lines on the Verizon wireless website, you see the notation that there must be a $30 data plan. UDPs are 29.99. Has anyone had their statement dates come and go since adding the new lines? Are they sticking?

One of the people I sold a line to said they spoke with Verizon and they had said that the buyer would lose UDP after the billing cycle(I know, I know). Obviously, we aren't upgrading. These are new lines.

I would assume if the UDP weren't sticking, this would be the first place to find out.

Thanks!

That's good cause the market is flooded right now with not so smart people selling them for less than $200

Lol..messing up your business plan eh....is what it is ...if someone wants to unload the line for 200.00. That's good business. Turn and burn. That makes that line work 1000.00 ----800.00 for the phone and 200.00 for the line.....greed. Gets in the way of logical thinking.

I haven't gone through an entire billing cycle, however I got my first new UDP a few days before the end of my cycle and still have it. I assume that if I make it to the 15 day(?) return window they'll have to honor it since it is the plan I signed up for and they likely won't let me return the device or cancel the new line.

----------

tottenj, did you used transfer number or new number?

New number, UDP through Apple. I called to bitch out the store since this is the 2nd time they told me an order was ready for pickup and we left empty handed. I found out that Verizon/Apple assigned that phone to someone else's plan! Was strange, Apple told her to call Verizon, Verizon said the issue was on Apple's end.

I don't have a business selling lines for the record. I have one rare individual line that has 5 friends and family that I am trying to sell. Just the one and I am not going to buy anymore:D. Things will calm down in about a week and get back to normal

Gotcha I thought you were one of the members here buying multiple lines....

Your plan is defiantly different from the rest...and I agree give this two weeks and the value will return...I have been selling lines for 3 yrs, there is always a flood of lines to soften the market...
I have always suspended my unused lines and take a hold approach....has always bounced back.it will for your line as well.

When you suspend a line, can you sell the phone associated with it, or is the device attached to the line?

I usually sold the phone before the line itself....I have a bunch of older 3G and some 4g phones that I would assign to the unlimited lines ..then suspend...
But you have to keep a phone on the unlimited to keep the unlimited feature alive so to speak...
