View attachment 728375 Hi everyone good morning I woke up and decided to check the UPS website under tracking by reference number and found that my ATT 256 gig space gray iphone X has shipped from Foxconn. Apple's website still shows that my phone is preparing to ship. I do this every year and I found out this simple trick on the forum here

For those of you that are not familiar with doing this here's how you can check your order.

Go to UPS's website. Go to tracking. Go to track by reference number. Put the cell phone number associated with your order in as the reference number. Put your ZIP Code. Put your country. Hit track package button. If your phone has shipped it'll come up on UPS's website.

I checked last night and my phone still wasn't showing up on UPS website. I just woke up at 4 AM Pacific time and decided to check again and it shows my phone has shipped and will be here by end of day on November 3. Oh and it's coming from China

Good luck I hope everybody can find their phones. This happens every year where Apple says it still preparing to ship yet you can track it through UPS

Tracking by my mobile number never worked for me. I try every preorder but I get nothing. I use UPS my choice. I always see my shipments in the ups app before Apple sends a notification. I’m still preparing to ship for now.

Yep I had the same thing this morning, a fraud alert for one of the phones (I ordered 2). My CC company emailed me and so did Apple. Luckily was easily resolved.

Tmo 64gb SG and Silver, :03 order/email, orig 11/10-17, now 11/3 Preparing for Shipment. Not showing in UPS yet.

I woke up to an email saying I need to resolve a payment issue but when I went to my order status page, there's not alert to be found! Should I just assume it was resolved over the course of the night?

Just to be safe, call your credit card company and make sure the payment for Apple has been authorized.

I called the credit card folks before the purchase to let them know it was coming so they wouldn't think it was fraud.

Heads up guys, if your phone number isn’t working for UPS tracking, use your order number but subtract the last two numbers/letters. Worked for me and as said before, use the tracking by reference feature.

I have order numbers for both my orders and they show up in the apple store app as in progress 11/17-11/24 shipping but I have no charges on my credit card. Should I be worried?

I had the same thing with my credit card co this morning, whew luckily i quickly called in and cleared it. My order still says Order in progress but underneath it said "shipping" and Nov 3 delivery date for my 256GB Silver (GSM). My original order timing was Nov 10-17

Apple says "Preparing for Shipment" but I was able to find using UPS track by reference using my phone number. It left China this morning. Shows launch day delivery by end of day....in the past UPS has had one driver making iPhone deliveries and usually he shows up at 9 am. My normal UPS driver comes out in the afternoon (I think my house is the last one on his route). My UPS still doesn't show anything yet. I think it doesn't show up in the app for me until it makes it to the US. I can't remember at what point it was showing up last year.

1 or 2 always seem to get through but they will be instructed to hold them. They can make it to the destination UPS facility and be held for a day or two.

Tracking numbers are starting to be assigned for those who like to watch daily or even hourly. Track by reference number aka your phone number! Happy hunting!

Hard to say carriers are suppose to hold but so me slip thru if your lucky

You are welcome, they charge the card at the time of pick up.

Do you HAVE to go at the pickup time? What if you’re early or late? Any idea?

Nothing to be worried about. Apple will charge your credit card as your shipping date draws closer. All people getting charged right now have launch day delivery dates.

They're not really "shipped" -- usually this step means there's a phone allocated and label ready.

Mine is still Order In Progress too. I had a fraud alert yesterday too. Called my bank and cleared it up, Nov 3 delivery date, hopefully will change to PFS soon!
