How do you know which Cust Center that would be?
[doublepost=1509272717][/doublepost]
Yep. Mine just showed up on the UPS app automatically by itself even though the Apple app still says preparejng to ship

Mine just showed up in my app. It looks like it gives me the option to hold at the CC already. But I’m a little nervous about changing anything at this point unless I screw anything up. Has anybody actually DONE this yet?

Yes and now I have to wait until the 6th to get my phone instead of it being delivered to my house on the 3rd. Can’t change it now and customer service can’t change it either due to “security reasons”. God I hate UPS. Good luck

I can follow directions :)
I asked because as I said, someone a few posts above mine said they chose the cc and it pushed their delivery date back.
Anyways. Thanks for all the info! So if I do choose CC, and the one near me opens at 8an, I should be able to go there at 8am and get it then, based on what you are saying?

my Cust service center is also a distribution center, so mine was always there when they opened. Once I got an ‘out for delivery’ msg which really meant it was at the counter for pickup. I thought it depended on your UPS network as to when it’s available.

Crap. It had said 11/3. I just checked again before I replied to this post, and now it shows “Date tentative”
Scared...I did choose the CC, I screenshot it to make sure when I made the change. Ugh
That's happened to me before as well. It was still available as promised. Like I showed before, as long as it's going to the DC and not a retail UPS store the delivery path is the same and just stops at the DC. The timeline will not change.

When I lived in Maryland, I chose the CC on numerous occasions and I've never had a problem getting my device or watch the morning of launch day. One time, however, UPS cut it so close that I had to wait about an hour at the CC for the truck to deliver the goodies to the CC.

I have never done that before. So I am a little paranoid. It takes me at least 30 mins to get to work from the CC. So if there is a huge line, and each person is taking forever to get their phone. I may end up having to leave without the phone.

I’m usually there no longer than 20 minutes max. There usually isn’t a long line for iPhone preorders. On the day of launch they open one specific line for iPhones and another line for people just picking up.

I just changed mine.. it looks confirmed to pick up at the CC, but says “by end of day”. Would that mean 8am pick up is not an option?! Grateful for advice of an old pickup veteran on this

Just to reiterate, don’t worry if your delivery date goes tentative when you request pickup at the UPS CC... I’ve done it amseveral times, and each time it looks wonky, but it’s always been available in the original day. (Saying this as a veteran of every single iPhone launch day, including several CC pickups.)

In my experience, since it is the final destination prior to being put on the truck for delivery it will be available when the customer center opens its window/pick up hours.

UPS has to process your request to pickup before it changes to “held for customer pickup”.

If it's going to the distribution center, it typically will arrive overnight and be there first thing in the AM. No worries.

Mine is still in PFS, but, like others, it is shown in my UPS for delivery on the 3rd. SG 256. Order :03 completed
:08. Woot, Woot!
[doublepost=1509289941][/doublepost]It tracks and has 5 reference numbers listed. One is phone number. One is order number. The other three are not recognizable.
[doublepost=1509290054][/doublepost]And now the Apple store just this minute changed to Shipped
