I also have the alert symbol but as soon as it hit UPS I asked for a delivery change to hold at my local UPS hub. I’ve done this twice in years before and never missed a releas day.

Ditto -- UPS doesn't come to either my house or my office until late, and so I have been picking mine up from the hub for the last three years. I can get it at 9 am. The last time I ordered it to my house, it came at like 8:30 pm (poor UPS guy), and I was frantic they were just going to do an exception. I wanted to give that UPS guy a beer for sticking it out that year, but since then I've always picked it up at a hub.
 
It’s too late for most of you but if needed held at a CC should wait until it gets to KY. Then you won’t get the tentative or exception alert that you are getting. Regardless the CC will hold your phone and should have no problem picking them up on launch day and not a day before

On Friday, October 27 I preordered a 256GB Space Gray ATT iPhone X on ATT Next Every Year with a guaranteed delivery date of November 3, 2017. It was "Preparing for Shipment."
At 10:16am EST today, I received an email from Apple saying:
"While processing your iPhone order, we encountered one of the following
issues with your AT&T account. It appears that either the credit
application linked to your order has been canceled, or your current
wireless plan is not compatible with the iPhone. As a result, your
iPhone order has been canceled and you have not been charged.

If you have any questions about this cancelation, please contact AT&T at
1-800-331-0500.To place a new iPhone order, please visit
store.apple.com. If you reply to this email with your new Apple order
number, we will process your order as quickly as possible."

I ordered 5 iPhone X on ATT Next Every Year for 5 lines on my ATT account. All 5 lines have been upgrade eligible as of September. Now my order is cancelled. I have spoken to Apple and ATT and all they can say is, "place a new order and hope for the best." So from ordering through Apple, I have gone from a November 3 delivery date to December 12-19 delivery date.

Anyone else wake up to this wonderful email? Not even a warning. Just a "hey, we cancelled your order." Could not be more livid right now.

I’m sorry to hear that. My daughter and I are huge Wonder Woman fans. She was Wonder Woman last year for Halloween.

11/3 date here. I changed option to pick up at UPS CC (the only one near me) and delivery date changed to 11/6. WTF!

Ooh, sorry that happened to you. That's why I'm leary about making changes of any sort. Sometimes you just have to leave well enough alone. Hope you get it straightened out though.
 
I took the day off on 11/3 to play with the phone all day. Going to be so salty if I have to wait until Monday after work. It’s ******** that they tell you the date to pick it up AFTER the change is made

Yeah, that's messed up. I think I'd be a little more than salty if I took the day off work and that happened to me.

Call UPS and ask them for the customer center associated with your address. I did that and also asked a UPS driver. I got the same answer which gave me a warm fuzzy. I recently moved and needed to know this.

I’ve done this before and it’s been at the CC before the delivery person would have delivered it. Just get the correct CC.

Okay so my tracking STILL hasn’t shown for either of my Nov 3 orders.
Had to call out of work because of how stressful this all is. It says ‘preparing for shipping’ but no tracking number????

I called Apple 7 times today and tried looking up my tracking all day. Nothing. Apple rep accidentally told me that it be there on launch day but I told them I had no tracking. Ended up yelling and hanging up on them.

Anyways I haven’t been able to think clearly all day and I’m pretty sure the stress from all this has made my physically sick. Heading to doctor soon as I have been coughing up blood every time I check tracking

I really hope this was intended as a joke (if so... LOL). Otherwise, you should by no means experience the symptoms you described only because you can't track your iPhone order yet. You should also definitely consider not yelling at a service representative only because you don't have a tracking number for a phone that's supposed to be delivered to you within five days... Not yesterday... Not today... That's five whole days. Perspective is key.
 
Make sure you are selecting your local UPS hub, and not a store as a store could result in a delay if they don't deliver to the store until end of day.

WOW this really sucks if indeed they'll make you wait 'til December. However, notice the second paragraph of the email... They do say that if you reply with the number of your new order they can process it faster. You should definitely try that.
