This happened on previous launches. Some go straight to Alaska. While some go a long for the ride to pickup other cargo to go to Alaska. It’s just logistics.
It may have been less cargo on one flight so it loaded up more before its destination.

I guess not all of the shipments are going straight from ZZ fo ANC. I just got an arrival scan in Chek Lap Kok, HK.

I guess mine is in Hong Kong with Jackie Chan. Wtf?

So looking at the next flight that was close to 8:45 AM CST yesterday, you should find Cathay Pacific 51 going to Hong Kong. That arrived yesterday just after 11 AM HKT.

It looks like the second batch of Apple orders left Zhengzhou (iPhone City) and have already arrived in Hong Kong and may have already left on UPS 1 this morning, 6:03 AM EST (USA) with a stop in Anchorage on the way to Louisville for a very early arrival on Thursday morning.

Note: UPS 1 is restricted from Public information from Hong Kong so it might not be our flight.

1:35am arrival batch here

Departed ZZ at 8:45am and now arrival scan in Hong Kong at 11:23am November 1st.
It's 8:20pm November 1st in HK now so the phone arrived some 9 hours ago.

I've seen some folks are getting worried about Apple not updating their status. Do not worry.

Has anyone tried to contact UPS regarding the delay in China? Their system might show that it is already left China...

UPS does not have flights leaving China around the clock. The first wave of iPhones have left China and headed to USA via ANC. After those aircraft hit their destinations there will be the next wave of aircraft leaving USA and headed to the East. Then the cycle begins again. UPS should not give anyone information regarding aircraft on ground. When you call UPS inquiring about packages you are dealing with a specific group of people who have no knowledge of UPS's Airline and their operation flows.

Yeah, it was discovered about 400 messages ago that the first batch of the 11/3 club were shipping out on National Cargo flight 628
#4995

The UPS fleet is very much in the air:

I believe that was a guesstimate/assumption rather than a discovery. I do not believe UPS is operating any non-UPS aircraft charters out of China for the iPhone release. They should all be moving on UPS aircraft and operating through ANC. Most should go to SDF for customs clearance and sortation to final destination aircraft/trucks.

That was based on information from a UPS internal to one of the members here...so unless you have more accurate information to share that would correlate with the tracking people have?

From Kentucky! When will it go next! Any experts out there know? Does it go straight to the home state?

Mine will get put on a truck and go about 14 miles east to a delivery center...then about 5 miles north to my hands :)

Well seeing as how I have worked for UPS Airline for about 30 years I will go with what I said but maybe that person knows more than me.

From Louisville they will be either trucked to local UPS site or put on planes for final leg to destination sites. Im in Texas so it will be the UPS flight from Louisville to Bush Intercontinental

The movements of National Cargo flight 628 correlated with the tracking updates people were seeing from UPS for their phones.

So, why are you arguing that their phones weren't on that flight?

I was not arguing. Giving an alternate opinion is not arguing. Sorry you cannot see that distinction. Clearly you and I don't see eye to eye and that's okay.
