I think it is funny that my iPhone X has traveled half way around, yet Apple still has it as "Preparing to Ship"

Flight has been delayed. Scheduled to depart at 5:45AM CST Thursday Chinese Local time.

Now granted, I know we all know that you can't take reps and what they say to be true all the time but, he said there was a lot of movement of people who were cancelling orders in the first and second waves. First wave is Nov 3-10 (basically launch day), and he say second wave going out is 17-24 people. He said a lot of first wave people cancelled, moving up some second wave people. And a lot of second wave people cancelled, moving up a lot of December people. So us second wave people are in a hefty group I think but, he did assure me that apple usually does send out pretty quickly compared to the suggested dates so the second wave group 17-24 people have a good chance of being shipped out next week.

I have gone through so many videos on YouTube about iPhone X recent videos of reviews & unboxing and it does look like the future of the smartphone. I think the most exciting time would be when developers will make more apps relating to the new features using TruDepth Sense Camera, Augmented Reality, A11 Bionic high graphics capable apps & games etc. It's going to be really a new era of iOS all together.

Really when people say iPhone X is just like iPhone 6/7/8, I just fail to understand. What are those features that those people are looking for in a smartphone?

Waiting for the Louisville scan(s), then truck to CACH - Hodgkins, IL., then to my local UPS Customer Center.
 
I am picking up in store. And the apple store still says processing. Not shipped or anything. Frustrating. But from reading it sounds like this is typical. At least others are able to track their orders. Hoping mine is on one of the planes that landed.

Edit: also my credit card has a pending charge for tax. It’s been like that since Sunday. I have also not been charged my first installment payment.

Store pickups are handled differently. Your status will change when Apple sends you an email saying it is ready to be picked up.
