UPS does not have flights leaving China around the clock. The first wave of iPhones have left China and headed to USA via ANC. After those aircraft hit their destinations there will be the next wave of aircraft leaving USA and headed to the East. Then the cycle begins again. UPS should not give anyone information regarding aircraft on ground. When you call UPS inquiring about packages you are dealing with a specific group of people who have no knowledge of UPS's Airline and their operation flows.

I believe that was a guesstimate/assumption rather than a discovery. I do not believe UPS is operating any non-UPS aircraft charters out of China for the iPhone release. They should all be moving on UPS aircraft and operating through ANC. Most should go to SDF for customs clearance and sortation to final destination aircraft/trucks.
Sorry but you are incorrect. There was a direct Cargo Charter flight from ZHCC / ANC / SDF, National Airlines Cargo NCR628 / Tail number: N919CA. It matches the Departure scans from the individual orders as far as departure from ANC yesterday. This batch is in SFD aka Worldport as of 1:56 AM EDT this morning.

As indicated above, this charter was confirmed by someone at UPS.

I stand corrected then.

They will be scanned sometime today.
I’m finding scans are way late.

I’m on the second shipment out. The 8:45ers that left at 8:45am 11/1 China time. I got the departure scan quickly after.

Apparently that shipment went to Hong Kong and arrived at 11:23AM HK time.

I’m 12hrs behind on the east coast so that should have updated my tracking around midnight last night. It didn’t update until an hour ago or so.

At least until 7am when I woke up there was no update other than it left ZZ, nothing about HK arrival that happened 7 hours ago.

My precious was indeed on this flight I tracked it from wheels up in ZZ to landing in Louisville early this am...

Apple support doesn't help at all when it comes to asking why there's no official tracking provided.

1:35am arrival batch here

Departed ZZ at 8:45am and now arrival scan in Hong Kong at 11:23am November 1st.
It's 8:20pm November 1st in HK now so the phone arrived some 9 hours ago.

I've seen some folks are getting worried about Apple not updating their status. Do not worry.

Hong Kong batch, do we know yet what happened? I was happy thinking my phone was on its way to the U.S. but also got an arrival scan, at 11:23AM, in Hong Kong. Any updates?

Yep, which is why I said they would be scanned sometime today.

Mine departed Anchorage yesterday at 4:30PM, which means it has been in Louisville since 2AM or 3AM.

I have three more scans until it is delivered to me.

Louisville > Hodgkins CACH > Palatine

probably they will be on this flight :

No that flight does not match and it came from Taiwan. Currently, until someone gets a Hong Kong departure scan it looks like UPS 63 (8:08 PM HKG) or UPS 59 (9:34 PM HKG). UPS 63 on the way to Anchorage and UPS 59 departs in 23 minutes. UPS 63 is scheduled to continue on to Louisville (SDF). UPS 59 is scheduled to continue on the Ontario , California (West Coast hub).

Apple doesn’t give out tracking so that people like us don’t call every 5 seconds and ask why our package wasn’t on X flight or why we’re not getting the devices sooner since we’ve tracked them to be around the corner. I also assume it’s a security issue... the cargo of those aircraft is extremely valuable.

Those whose phones are in Hong Kong should just chill. It means your phones are on the way. Stopping elsewhere is just UPS's logistics - they're picking up other shipments, filling the plane before jumping up to Anchorage. Wait for your tracking to update....it'll happen. You should get a departure scan from HK, then take a look to see if you can determine the flight.

Doing the opposite (looking at flights, before you get an update to your tracking) is kinda pointless.

From my experience UPS seems to have scheduled timeframes. It's gotten so bad I know not to check out Neil after 9pm and then again after 3am and then after 9am for the beloved "out for delivery" msg.

I know exactly where my X is. Sitting at my FEDEX location until Friday to be delivered. It's been there since Tuesday morning because Verizon shipped FEDEX and not from CHINA
