LOL it never ends. Every year the panic sets in and every year so many posters refuse to read the previous pages or last year's forum. But I am not complaining, reading the panicked posts, is part of the fun.
Some have been very funny. I had to show my spouse the one of the person coughing up blood. It was a hilarious joke. But I remember it when I see the serious panic posts lol

My last scan was in Anchorage Alaska 10/31 at 4:30pm. No activity since then. Anyone else the same? Scheduled for Nov 3 delivery
The next step should be custom clearance, this could take a while. I doubt next update will even as late as Thursday afternoon.

I have to say that I find this hilarious. Not in a "Oh, you losers, I'm better than you," kind of way. On the contrary, it really makes me smile to see people get excited about this stuff to the point of tracking airplanes that are carrying their devices. At first I was really excited for my new phone because my iPhone 6 is becoming more and more useless every day, but now I'm kind of just feeling like a kid at Christmas...except I paid $1500 for the feeling so maybe not exactly that way...

I feel like this needs to be said on every page:
1. If you have a Nov 3rd delivery date you are 99% guaranteed to receive your phone on Nov 3rd.
2. All Apple orders still say "Preparing to Ship" but phones have been moving through the UPS system.
3. If you ordered directly from Apple you can track your phone on UPS.com by using your ten digit phone number as a reference number.
4. The first huge shipment of phones landed in Louisville last night but haven't been scanned since leaving Anchorage yesterday at 4:30.
5. If you have any concerns about delivery (not being home, it arriving too late in the day, etc.) Sign up for UPS MyChoice and change the delivery to be held at a UPS CC (that's customer center or hub). That way it will be ready for pickup when the CC opens. If you choose a UPS store or UPS authorized pick up point you will in all likeliness have to wait an extra day to pick up your phone because the driver will have to deliver it to that location and it will be checked in.

Personally I just enjoy watching a package go through the system and make it's way closer and closer. I love that some of the brilliant members here, shout out to DJ_Rosko and kjgnola with the inside info, were able to deduce which flight our phones were on and we could watch it cross the ocean. Really neat stuff. Even though my phone shows as "Preparing for Shipping" on Apple's site I have no fears that I won't be able to pick it up at 8:00am at my local hub on Friday.

(edit to give proper credit for the inside info)

Try your phone number

I tried it.

"UPS could not locate the shipment details for your request. Verify your information and try again"

I tried my apple id as well. I ordered through the apple app store app on my iphone btw.

A meta post summarizing all these pages of discussion is just amazing!

Is there any way to track our orders for the UK as I don’t think they’re delivered via UPS here?

Our Hong Kong to Alaska flight is now picking up speed. Cruising at 663 mph instead of the planned 562 mph they filed. Guess they are trying to make up for leaving late. Think it will land by 7pm est.

I had a flight that was delayed and the pilot said he was gonna haul in the air to try to make up lost time. As we were almost to our destination he came on and said we caught an amazing tailwind and were close to setting the record time for that particular route. Can't recall exactly why, but we ended up getting put in holding and didn't quite make it.

Anyhow...how long until they're using drones to air-drop these things where we tell them we are at a certain time of the day?

Absolutely 0% chance

Not zero, but very, very close to zero. There are always a handful of iPhones that accidentally get delivered a day or two early. Usually it happens in non-USA destinations, but sometimes we see it domestically. We can expect a YouTube video today or tomorrow.

Again, though, we are talking just a few out of the millions that are being shipped.
