I tried it.

"UPS could not locate the shipment details for your request. Verify your information and try again"

I tried my apple id as well. I ordered through the apple app store app on my iphone btw.

I noticed once my phone number did work, that one of the reference numbers was actually my order number MINUS the last two digits. So that was why i couldn't find it via order number.

No way it takes 24 hours to clear the request. My Apple TV wasn't delivered to my address (normally UPS leaves without signature, this time they didn't). I changed to CC pickup through MyChoice and had it that night. Basically, they print out a new label with the destination (CC / UPS Store / UPS Locker) and once it gets scanned in, you're good to go. Live in Chicago and have never had a delay from expected delivery date, but may be different in smaller markets.

correct, it's always order number minus the last two digits

It does. Ask any UPS rep. Btw I said UP TO.

The thing is that it takes up to 24 hours to clear the request. So, if your statement is correct and the hub receives iPhones Thursday night or Friday morning, there's no way it'll be available for pickup Friday. Again, that's if your statement is correct.
It doesn't take 24 hours to clear a request. Once your little iPhone arrives at the Hub and its scanned in it'll be either accepted and held or put on a truck

I checked my emails from last year for the 7 and I got the shipping email from Apple thursday morning so I expect our orders will move to shipped tomorrow morning.

My MyChoice no longer shows exception. Requested CC hold as soon as tracking appeared on the site

how many days before shipping do they charge your card? for example Nov 16th would be charged by what day

Let me join the panicking folks: ahhhhhhhh, I reserved in-store pickup. Will they give my iPhone away if I don't get there right at the beginning of my check in window?! AhhHHHHHH!

(Even though the phone will have my SIM and will be locked to my account so no one else could unlock it after first boot and set it up.)
No, don't worry. I think it's 24 hours or something like that. The worst than can happen to you if you are late is they let the next appointed window person behind you go, and you will just have a wait a while longer. That's all. You're ok.

Oh don't know who you talked to, but I've literately emailed them, chatted with them and talked with 2 people on the phone to which they assured me we should know something the night prior..
Did you explicitly ask them "Could a request to hold for pickup take up to 24 hours to process?" No, you didn't. Call/chat with them again, and they'll tell you exactly what I said.

Should I worry that I never saw an exception? Only thing it shows is

Delivery Change Requested:

Deliver to a UPS Retail Location - The driver will deliver your shipment to the UPS Retail Location you requested.

I am having it picked up at the UPS CC. I've done it multiple times now, but never remember what the order is of things that happen on the tracking website.

"The driver will deliver your shipment to the UPS Retail Location you requested." Why worry? If it's not held there you'll get notified that is out for delivery if its not held there

My request to go to the UPS Store is no longer showing as an exception and it's now just showing November 3rd delivery to the UPS store.
Is it going to a UPS store or CC? If it's a store, did it originally tell you that the delivery would be on the 6th due to the extra business day delay? I'm curious if it's possible to have it delivered to a store right near my address without delaying it an extra day.

Mine still shows as "exception" though I am hoping things clear up as soon as the Louisville scans come in. Knowing I am in the first batch is relieving, the only thing I fear now is that my request to hold could possible cause some sort of delay. Hopefully we all learn more tonight!

No, your request should enter the Exception phase first before being cleared/completed

I asked the supervisor at the UPS CC that I pick up from daily and her words exactly, "No. There is no processing time. It's instant and we're notified when we scan the item" - which makes sense considering i've never had a delay in a HFP request.

I have the exact same message and I guess the only worry is that the request is still pending. But hopefully it clears up and is approved soon.

I was told the exact same thing when I contacted UPS about my HFP request.

That means your request is still being processed, I wouldn't worry because some of us haven't even entered the Exception phase yet

I've had my message since the 30th, so that's why I'm concerned as well.
