This was an order placed through the reservation system, which I completed the next day. The scheduled date was Nov 3 delivery. Order moved from "in progress" to preparing for shipment at the same time as my other Nov 3 deliveries.

It showed a Nov 3 delivery since that time, until today when it updated to Nov 17 delivery.

The crappy thing is that I originally had the order for in-store pickup 30 min away for Nov 3, but when I got the email for the reservation for delivery, I placed this new order and cancelled the old one.

Had they just told me this would be Nov 17 in the first place, I wouldn't have changed the order.

Anyone else with Nov 17 orders that are in "preparing for shipment"?

My wife’s shows in progress still, but curiously date changed from Nov 17-24 to Nov 16-24?

I asked UPS what my CC was. They told me and said open 8-6 but when I try to hold the first choice is this facility but it is greyed out.
However, when I scroll to the 14th choice it is the same address and is available.
However, when I click on info it says open 24 hours and if I select it the date moves to Monday.
Do you all think I'm safe to select this?

I feel like this needs to be said on every page:
1. If you have a Nov 3rd delivery date you are 99% guaranteed to receive your phone on Nov 3rd.
2. All Apple orders still say "Preparing to Ship" but phones have been moving through the UPS system.
3. If you ordered directly from Apple you can track your phone on UPS.com by using your ten digit phone number as a reference number.
4. The first huge shipment of phones landed in Louisville last night but haven't been scanned since leaving Anchorage yesterday at 4:30.
5. If you have any concerns about delivery (not being home, it arriving too late in the day, etc.) Sign up for UPS MyChoice and change the delivery to be held at a UPS CC (that's customer center or hub). That way it will be ready for pickup when the CC opens. If you choose a UPS store or UPS authorized pick up point you will in all likeliness have to wait an extra day to pick up your phone because the driver will have to deliver it to that location and it will be checked in.

Personally I just enjoy watching a package go through the system and make it's way closer and closer. I love that some of the brilliant members here, shout out to DJ_Rosko and kjgnola with the inside info, were able to deduce which flight our phones were on and we could watch it cross the ocean. Really neat stuff. Even though my phone shows as "Preparing for Shipping" on Apple's site I have no fears that I won't be able to pick it up at 8:00am at my local hub on Friday.

Same flight as mine,if I smoke enough,I mean severely medicate myself ,I should be able to sleep thru tomorrow and wake up in time for ups Friday ,no sense putting myself thru the stress of being awake for the next 36 hours waiting

I’m “working” from home the next 2 days. Might decide to sleep this one out also. Sounds like a great idea. Lol

I spoke with a rep on the phone, and they said a majority of folks will be delayed now as shipments have "gone missing".

I think somebody five-fingered a entire pallet/plane shipment??

I would call and ask a live UPS operator. Most people here that are picking up found it safer to do so. I wouldn’t ever click a button that changed my delivery day with the hope of still getting it guaranteed on Friday. Just my opinion.

I doubt a rep would give out that kind of information. Something obviously happened to your order, but I don’t see any evidence of widespread issues with dates changing from Nov 3rd to the 15th through the 17th.

I didn’t say I didn’t believe his order got pushed back and I’m sure others, but that’s not a “majority” of anything. Reps rarely provide any information that includes salacious news like a majority of orders being delayed.

It works great, i've used it before! Here is the UPS Follow My Delivery FAQ. My package shows "Worldwide Ease" and that's not listed on the FAQ so not sure if it'll work for these orders.

I wouldn't expect a rep to say that either - I'm just passing back information that was told to me either.

Yes, I was unable to track it from the beginning. Not sure if there was some missing phones to begin with? But putting my conspiracy tin-foil hat on - I bet its all the people calling to get the Nov 3rd launch date, that they took legitimate Nov 3rd people and push them back. STOP BEING GREEDY YALL.

I have the proof from the screenshots, and just hearsay from the rep. However, I've never seen an order go from "Preparing for Shipment" BACK to "Order in Progress" before, accompanied with a date change.
