As soon as they sort, they send it to the destination facility. UPS don’t want the destination to have to hold your package, because it provides more opportunities to screw it up and send it out early. They’ll hold everything and sort tomorrow night, and distribute Friday morning.
I have to say, I have followed these forums in the past for prior launches — I enjoy the watching the process. Some of you have really gave me some solid laughs. The people who are having boarder line panic attacks and calling the airports about delays have been especially choice this go-round.
Who says they aren't sorted? Maybe you'll get scans once your phone is getting ready to leave. But then again maybe it's not sorted either way watch that video UPS got packages sorted, prepped and sent across the country and delivered to a person door in 14 hours
That I do not know. But I doubt it. Are you referring to the phones still in china ? Mines is currently in route to Kentucky.

Some of carriers i know were still doing launch day shipping half way through friday still.
Apple however was back ordered into December after an hour, im guessing apple was playing it safe and now that they shipped out the Nov 3rd orders they have enough stock left/production is ramp-up enough that they started shipping out the next batch
There are others that I believe also have nov 3 dates. Ups has never just sat on phones in KY while others catch up. There is probably one more batch of phones that will leave Asia tomorrow and will make it to buyers by Friday.

Exactly how does UPS blow? As long as you get the package on the day promised they have fulfilled their obligation. The phones are in Louisville. So what does it matter how detailed the tracking is?
Well things change lol, scroll back a few pages the guy that used worked UPS (the guy who has a friend that works at the hub in Lousiville) confirmed what I'm saying now, they're sitting on them until ours catches up which should be 3-4 hours. Anyways like I said again UPS can get your package to your house even if you're across the country in like 14 hours tops.. What's the point of moving them? If they're just gonna sit w/e they're moved to anyways. Like I'll say again you should see your iPhone on a flight for tomorrow sometimes. UPS already knows what planes the iPhones will go on same as trucks etc. Like I told another guy earlier mark my word once our plane touches down within a the first few hours should see movement

Well, the obsessive tracking, yes. But threatening to call an airport in China? That was a new one for me! But a great way to pass the week!
Simply mind-blowing. Gotta respect all the UPS workers. Btw, didn't know it was the largest shipping company in the world.

I enjoy everyone’s excitement, typically it’s more of when did orders ship.
Last year I was in the delayed 7 plus jet black group. We got Saturday delivery if I remember right but it was a clusterf*ck. People (myself included) were freaking out
It’s great communicating with people who are just as excited about something as you are!
