They did give me the $8 express charge back when I called Apple. Apple still says 10/30, UPS now says 10/29. Sigh.

Welcome to the HK party everyone. For the life of me, I cannot deduce how a Tuesday delivery ended up going to Thursday? I can see one day, but two?
To those who don't understand -- no explanation is possible
Mine just went from delivery today to Thursday and is now doing the APAC world tour with a stop in Hong Kong. I have a delivery window of 10/30-11/3 but when it shipped on the 23rd I was really holding onto hope!
This bump is what it is, no sense in getting too worked up over it. That said this hasn’t shaped up to be the most rewarding iPhone purchase process for me personally, and I’ve been through every one of them. From the initial order hiccups that resulted in a 7 minute delay and missing launch day to what appears to be an extended delivery process (vs launch despite coming from the same place) it’s not been the usual great experience. Oh well, can’t nail it every time.
Tracking just updated, left HK about an hour and 15 minutes ago
Mine won't update and it has me annoyed. Once I get the change I will feel better since I know it won't be coming tomorrow... I don't have much hope for Thursday the 29th. Still on the fence about holding for pick-up but it might be my best bet. I think I'll change it once I get an update... that way I'm not looking out that window like a wounded lonely puppy.
I'll be calling Apple for that refund real soon too...
EDIT: I see the departure but my date is still lagging.

Mines was delivered today as promised. I love it.
Mine just showed up as a departure as well from Hong Kong.
As much as I want to I can’t get too upset, it’s still coming earlier than my original delivery date.
In the big scheme of things, this is certainly not the worse thing that has happened in 2020. Given fact I can afford to get a new phone still at all this year, I should be grateful.
Ditto. And my scheduled delivery date slipped back from 10/28 (Wed) to 10/29. Given the ongoing tour my phone is taking, I'm hoping for "Before 9 p.m. Thanksgiving."

It still has to go to Incheon. My guts are screaming that I will not get this sucker on the 29th. I had a chance before this update and now... not so much.

Apple’s delivery date says October 28th to October 30th. UPS says 28th of October
