My friend, I also just received two alerts just now (email & TEXT) but seriously... I can't see this happening. Not when we just barely departed HGK... I mean I want to hope but at the same time I felt better understanding it won't happen.
That's what I read when I googled it.
My Apple delivery date range is 10/30-11/4 to be exact. We are both in Cali, right?
Doesn't everyone else who got their dates updated to the 29th live on the closer coast? Is it taking some exotic magical route? LOL, one can hope.
I think it's cruel that UPS is still sending me these alerts. It's just mean at this point. 🤣
What exactly is the $8 supposed to do? Just that they do overnight shipping or is it supposed to speed up the processing so it ships faster also?Will do! Thanks.

Looks like we will all be calling Apple for our $8. I don't have an update on delivery date change but I'm certain I will soon.

We won’t know the next stop on this magical mystery tour of Asia until we get our next update. Incheon? Or will we take the long flight over to Anchorage now? Hope our little phones enjoyed their day in Hong Kong 😋
Thanks so I'm guessing that means when they get a bulk order to start shipping, the express people get processed first
Just checked Flight Aware, and there’s no way to speculate where they are headed with an 11:55 pm departure. There are flights from HK direct to Anchorage, to Shanghai (Oh no - not that - my AW6 got stuck for 5 days there!), and to Incheon, among countless other places. This is getting kind of fun, trying to figure out where they’re going next.
I think UPS has the CS motto backwards. They seem to be overpromise, underdeliver instead of the correct way

While that’s an understandable reason for longer ship times, it’s not an excuse for UPS over-committing on their delivery dates/times.
If I have to wait long we because of the world conditions, I am 100% on board. But don’t promise me one thing and then fail to deliver on that.
Second time in a week that I’ve had this issue with UPS, and one of them was so bad even Verizon assumed the package had been lost or stolen, only for it to get delivered while I was out of town. Sorry, but that’s a bad business model, pandemic or not.
if I fluffed deliverable dates at my job like UPS is here, even during the pandemic, guarantee you I wouldn’t still have a job. Just saying.
As much as I want the phone it’s probably good it’s taking a bit. My case ships next week so I’ll be flying dangerously for a few days. Picked up a Bella fino from Pad and Quill. Used one on my X for almost 3 years now!

Trust the UPS date they are delivering it not Apple. Apple doesn't usually change the date based on what UPS says.

This is probably far TMI but this sums up the morning of my pre-order… When I wasn’t able to lock in the 23rd ship date... I was out my door by 5:20 a.m. running 4 miles because I was so stressed out from the experience of all the timeouts and store not being ready.
Later when I get to work.... I went to the bathroom at some point and someone hadn’t “flushed”… (first time ever encountering this here in 5 years) My coworker had her kids here the day before and it was like summing up my preorder experience. 😷

Not an iPhone 12 but when I ordered my iPad 8th generation I had a timeframe of. Sep 28-Oct 3. I had my new iPad on Sep 21 direct from China. I did preorder the device on September 15 before the release on th 18th. OI had my iPhone a little less than two days after I ordered it but that was because I waited a while to order and mine came fro Memphis via Fed Ex.(I ordered my iPhone late in the evening on August 26 and had it Friday afternoon the 28th. I got the SE model)
