Yea it's normal. I would expect sometime this week or next week, you will see movements.
This might be a bit random and off topic, but I was one of the people on the iPhone Upgrade Program that got charged a monthly payment for my 11 Pro Max a week before my iPhone 12 Pro arrived, in which case I got my first new monthly charge for that one. Noticed this morning Citizens Bank refunded me in the amount of my first 12 Pro payment ($55ish).
Kinda odd they wouldn’t refund me the $60ish for the 11 Pro Max payment, but I’m not complaining — a refund is a refund 👍👍

I had the exact same thing happen - at least my phone can keep your phone company, wherever they are.
I've done tracking from China many times before, and never seen this. UPS delivery date was Friday, Nov. 6 (Apple was Nov 11-18 when I ordered it, but they always over estimate). But now it just says "In Transit" and "please check back for scheduled delivery" ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
You should also check your prepaid plan and make sure it has 5G attached to it. Also you might need a new sim card to access the 5G.
Thanks. I don't think it does. I am no terribly worried about 5G. But I'd probably change my plan if I could find a prepaid 5G plan that wasn't much more or had more benefits. Wouldn't happen to have any recommendations?

Zulithe, I don't know much about prepaid plans. I do know that I had to switch my plan on AT&T from a grandfathered unlimited plan to an unlimited plan that includes 5G. It was about $20 a month more. I do think AT&T has 5G prepaid plans though. I don't know about the other carriers though.
They did this for me last year since my old and new payments were so close. Gives me hope that they will do the same this year. Old payment to be made on the 11th and new phone on the 13th.
Try Visible.com - they have plans that are very affordable and they use the VZW towers.
Otherwise, for the best 5G, get a SIM free and have T Mobile set you up on a eSIM service prepaid....

I was reading how paying with Apple Pay etc is much faster on pre-order day. Quick question, is it possible that I use my card to add money to my Apple account and pay from the account on pre-order day? Is that faster?

I just got an email notice from Apple that I could get things started on my iPhone 12 mini pre-order. The email directed me to the Apple Store app, where it was unclear how I could do that. I had to click on the iPhone 12 choice, which then gave me the option to further choose the mini. It suggested that with my Apple Card, I'd be able to reserve it right away, but I couldn't. I could choose the color, storage and AppleCare options, but that was it. From there the "Continue" button was greyed out. So I assume on Friday I can reopen the app; it will have remembered my choices and I can then just hit "Continue".
I will be preordering the Pro Max on Friday through Apple (first time ordering through Apple instead of at&t) with the at&t trade in. I believe I read that if I want to trade in my XS Max at an at&t corporate store, I shouldn’t fill out the trade in form online as this may cause issues when trying to drop off the trade in device. Is this correct? What about the TRADEIN20 code? Too many pages to read back through, lol, and I just want to ensure that I do everything correctly. Thank you 🙏.
So I had to use my 11 while in line to vote. Longest line in over 10 years.

People do want the other 2 phones, especially the Mini. There’s been pent of demand for the smaller iPhone with a full screen since the X came out. Apple introduced the SE2 that mostly people on a budget wanted. The die-hard original SE lovers were not having it. They wanted the latest tech in a small form factor. Now they are finally getting it.
Pro Max should be about the same in demand, but the deals from carriers are incentivizing upgrades. Heck, I just learned certain credit cards are offering good rewards deals with Apple right now as well. Either way, given the small sample here on MR, I expect the Graphite and Pacific Blue to be the ones to experience slips in delivery dates sooner.
From the article, I get that the Pro is selling better than expected. It was probably hard to forecast numbers given how COVID has affected so many globally, even their own normal release schedule being affected. The staggered release (impatient buyers/upgraders) plus carrier incentives definitely were a factor.
A friend just sent me their tracking info. It went from ZhengZhou to Shanghai, and just departed from Shanghai to... I think ANC (the times don't line up exactly) Other option is INC, but only an AirFrance jet is on that route at this time. More fun from UPS.
I checked UPS app and just got this, I hope this means today but that means it went from Korea straight to Chicago. Lol

So not sure if this is the right place... but I ordered my iPhone through Apple.com with the Verizon upgrade payment plan, where you are supposed to get $10 a month discount on the plan.
I returned my old iPhone X to FedEx on last Friday (2 days after I received my 12 Pro), and now it’s showing it won’t get returned to the trade-in merchant until this Friday (pushed out from Wednesday). Apple is showing on the app I only have 7 days left to return the phone or I lose my Verizon credit.
I am curious if anyone else is having this message as well, and if I should be concerned? Last thing I want is for FedEx to be late and I not get my credit for the Verizon trade-in credit.

It just has 4pm-6pm and its under tomorrow for the 4th, so I guess tomorrow. It departed from Incheon,KR at 10:39pm to the destination city (Chicago).
