When does Apple typically charge for in-store pickup?
i heard they are strict with this. it MUST be delivered to address on delvery day. maybe after they make an attempt only then you can have it reverted. but that i am not even sure of...
At least in Vermont, the UPS CC was open for pickup of my 12 Pro last month. I'd advise reaching out to your local CC or checking their website for info, but my guess is it shouldn't be a problem.
Good question. I would call them just be sure if they’re open before submitting a request. Then again, they wouldn’t allow you to request a hold if they closed right 🤔
This is not true. You can request it to be held at a CC and get it launch day with no issue. (source: I, and many others, do this every year)
As soon as you can get your tracking info, I'd advise putting in a request for it to be held. Just be sure to request it to be held at the Customer Center and not a regular UPS storefront, as the latter may add a business day to the delivery.
mine, and many others have been denied this. Thats how i got a bad taste in my mouth over shipping. I do live in CA, what state are you in? i have never heard of that working

They never charge me until I check out and leave the Apple store when I do in-Store pick up 🤔 maybe a Germany thing

I have ordered the 12 Pro Max Gold 512GB in Netherlands delivery 13th Nov CC has been charged Order Status "shipment being prepared"
I also ordered via the Germany Store since you cant buy HomePod's let alone HomePod Mini's in Netherlands I ordered 3 x Mini's ( 1 order with 2 and another order with 1 both have not charged my CC yet the Order Status "Process is Running" Arrival not until Jan 4th 2021

Were these direct orders from Apple or from a carrier? If it was direct from Apple to the US -> it shipped UPS -> CC pickup is and has always been an option.
If it came FedEx from a carrier, this may not have been the case.
i think Fed ex, i didnt know UPS would do that with delivery instructions on them.
Anytime after the label is created. I always done mine right after the label creation and had no issues with requesting a hold for pick up.
Ahh that is the reason then. If you order from Apple you can do a CC pick up as it ships UPS. Carrier shipping varies.

cause my ups driver doesnt come till 3pm(pst). We are a small city of 177,000. I always get the 8am time slot and always walk in and walk out in 5 min. total time from home and back is 15 minutes. Plus i am the type i need asap...lol.
